How's this for a 2016 Democrat ticket...
« on: April 17, 2015, 04:46:32 AM »
Presidential Candidate: Hilary Clinton
VP:....*drum roll*.....: Barack Obama

Now, pure speculation here, since I doubt Obama would ever take orders from Hilary, but.....it would be a liberal Democrat's dream-team.  And....the Constitution doesn't preclude Obama from being elected as VP, after being a 2 term President.  It merely precludes him from being elected President a 3rd time

Scary thought, isn't it

This will never happen. It is unconstitutional, as the VP must be eligible to be president, and Obama is not eligible because of the amendment establishing a limit of only two terms.

Go play with your Rands and Rubios, sirs.

Where in the Constitution does it way he'd be ineligible??  It only says he can't be ELECTED to a 3rd term.  As VP, if something happened to Hillary, he wouldn't have been elected now, would he.  Exactly how the Clintons & the Democrats love to parse words

There is zero chance that Obama will run for Vice President. That is just a very stupid idea that you brought up for God knows what reason.

Here is a poem you are sure to like:

Those who write on *house walls,
Roll their * in little balls;

Those who read these lines of wit.
EAT these little balls of *.

There is only a minimal amount of guessing involved here.

Oh?

If a former president can serve as veep then the dream ticket of Clinton and Clinton is possible.

Imagine that.

It is also theoretically possible to stuff three or four Republicans into a shuttle and send them off into space.

But that does not mean it is likely.

For the sake of argument , lets momentarily forget how unlikely this threads subject is.

Having a Clinton+Obama or a Clinton +Clinton ticket would be a very bad thing,

....because.....

I never claimed chance or want.  The idea was simple (and there in lies why you can't grasp it, of course).  The notion that Obama could, if he wanted to, literally be in line to be President again.  He won't do it, not because he constitutionally couldn't (given how he's twisted the Constitution to allow him to make up his own immigration legislation, separate from the legislative body), but because he wouldn't dare take orders from Hillary

But Plane is right, under the same guise, there's no reason Bill couldn't run as the VP candidate, since I don't believe there's anything in the Constitution that precludes the spouse of a Presidential candidate to run as the VP candidate

In either scenario, a very bad thing indeed.  A Conservative's worst nightmare

I can think of LOTS worse nightmares for Conservatives.

But this nonsense about Obama or Bill Clinton running for VP is less likely than a plague of rabid zombie pterodactyls.

Yea, I bet you could.  Thank God for our Constitution, and the protections it provides all of us from folks just like you

Fortunately your stupidity is not contagious, sirs.

Now you can speculate on how PeeWee Herman is the ideal VP candidate.

Throw in a tornado and you have a good plot for a SciFi Channel movie there.

I remember when Bill Clinton ran for President , he touted Hillary as a very capable administrator in her own right and a vote in his favor was a two for one bargain.

Sure enough, as first lady she was invested with responsibility above the usual for that position.

Recall of how she used that responsibility, is one of the reasons that I do not favor her presidency.

Chelsea is too young to run as Vice President , but there is always next time.

Not so surprisingly, unable to reference what I'm supposedly stupid about.  But that's the "professor" for you

Now you can speculate on how PeeWee Herman is the ideal VP candidate.

And still more pathological deflection efforts.  It literally has no bounds

sirs, you are STUPID to suggest that there is any way that Bill Clinton or Barak Obama will be nominated as the Democratic Party's VP candidate.  It the sort of ignorant jackassical nonsense that you waste innocent electon after innocent electon on day after tedious day.

That there is no second bite of this apple for Bill or Barak is very good news.

How though is Bill ,who was co-president before, going to avoid being co-president again?

Have we ruled out Michelle as a candidate?
