Both Goodwill and the Salvation Army have refurbished their stores, making them much more pleasant and less funky. Prices are higher as well.

I assume they are doing this on a national basis. I found the greatest assortment of Aloha shirts in a Goodwill in Honolulu. MUCH GREATER variety than anywhere I have ever seen.

I have never seen any loaner socks at any shoe store. Is that a regional thing? I have never ever heard of it.

You walk into Macys or Nordstroms on a weekend wearing sandals
but happen to see a pair of dress shoes that you really want....how
does one try on dress shoes in Florida if they don't have a pair of
dress loaner socks? More and more stores are starting to carry
"Peds" which are disposable after each use.

I always wear socks, even with sandals. And there is NO WAY I would shop for shoes at Macy's or Nordstrom's, since the same items can be purchased for half or less away from the malls or online.

This is the first time I have ever heard of "loaner socks".
