Netanyahu says he wants a two state solution,.
Robert E. Lee wanted a two state solution.

I do not think that Netanyahu wants a two state solution, I would be surprised to learn that he ever has said that he did.

A two state solution is a good way to get a bigger war started.

Would it not have been nice if a greater power had stopped the excesses of General Sherman and imposed a cease fire and a demilitarized zone between the North and South?

Look at it this way, if you think the wrong one won , you can reset the battle space to the original condition and allow it to start again , hoping that doing the same thing over again will have different results next time.

As long as the Jews keep winning , it will continue to be possible to reset the playing board and start the battle over again .

But you really have to love war and mayhem to favor a two state solution.

The Jews will be outnumbered in Israel, and it will cease to be a Democracy or a Jewish state. That simple.

They already outnumber the Jews.  Israel isn't going anywhere as long as it remains a sovereign and the ridiculous "right of return" remains appropriately a non starter

So you do love the war, and you are simply disappointed that the wrong side has been winning every iteration.

This is a good explanation for wanting to reset the situation to the original settings of the biggest war.

     Is there a better one?

Why do you want a return to starting positions if you do not want another race?

I did not say that I was in favor of Palestinians outnumbering the Jews. It is simply inevitable, and Netanyahu not reaching a peaceful; accord is only postponing this. I have no dog in this fight. Extremists on both sides are making reaching a two state solution impossible, and a single state solution is obviously worse.

I would not donate a dime to either side.

http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Society_&_Culture/newpop.html
http://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/.premium-1.532703

In Israel:

Jews:  6,335,000       74/9%
Arabs: 1,757,000       20.9%
Other:    370,000          4.4%
Total    8,462,000

West Bank Arabs: 2,657,000

Add it all together and what is the total?

Jews                                                                  6,335,000      56.97%
Israeli  Arabs & West Bank Palestinians:          4,414,000        39.6%
Other                                                                370,000    3.3%
Total:                                                                11,119,000        98.7%

Gaza Palestinians are NOT part the population administered by Israel.

The Palestinian birthrate is higher than the Jewish birth rate.

The Jews with the really high birthrates are the Ultra Orthodox, who do not serve in the military and are subsidized by the government. The men "work" at Torah studies  until they are 65, then retire on a government pension. Their wives are housewives and baby factories and do not usually work at anything.

The present situation is unsustainable. As I said, at some point, Israel has to stop being a Jewish state or stop being a democracy.

Israelis are quite aware of this. You, of course, are not.

You said Palestinians......as in not specific to any location, such as Gaza or West Bank  The facts are, as reported by the U.S. as well, is there are more Palestinians thru-out the region than Jews in Israel......in other words, Israel is already "outnumbered".  So it matters not that their population continues to grow...Israel isn't going anywhere

The Palestinians are not going anywhere, either.
Gaza is not administered by Israel, so it does not count in the total population administered by the Israeli government.

I am right and you are wrong. That is why I do not bother to answer your stupid questions. You are immune to facts.

T he population of Gaza is 1.8 million if it matters. But it does not matter, since Gaza is not administered by the Israelis, They just invade every so often to  show the Gazans that they are in control.

Never claimed they were, merely that they currently outnumber Jews in Israel.  That's just a fact.  So, the issue remains, stop warring on Israel with the idea that they can be driven from the region, or continue with the current status quo, with the Palestinians continuing to get the short end of the stick

Palestinians marry younger and spend lesson educating their kids, so they have more of them.
Except for the Ultra Orthodox. They breed like bunnyrabbits.
