I know what!!! Let's have an INVESTIGATION. We can investigate this thing till the cows come home and nobody's even gonna remember any of this shit in about a couple of days. Certainly not the MSM.
Here you have a country (USA. France, Italy, doesn't really matter, call it an ALLIANCE - - call it NATO - - in which presumably the USA retains some minor influence) an ALLIANCE, which invades Libya, overthrows the Libyan government, installs a band of "rag-tag guerrilla fighters" who could have accomplished absolutely zero without NATO support - - and then takes no responsibility whatsoever for the massacres and atrocities that follow.
It's a bizarre world where your President and his Sec of State take the credit for the overthrow and the murder and deny any responsibility for the end result.
Why not just totally abandon the ludicrous pretence that the USA is still "a nation of laws?" It's a nation of fucking OUTlaws.

Michael I have been very concerned from day one of Obama's War in Libya about what the end result would be.
I still don't understand why we are/were there?
At least in Afghanistan the Taliban had willingly given shelter to those that pulled off the Sept 11 attack on the United States. And in Iraq we had been at war with Saddam, Saddam had attempted to assassinate a former US President, and several countries intel and President Clinton spoke of Saddam's "weapons of mass destruction"......none of which were present for Obama to go to war in Libya.

As I see it, had NATO done nothing, Qaddaffi would have killed far more people than have been killed in the struggle to unseat him. There were much worse atrocities and disasters than this in the US Civil War. Was Nathaniel Bedford Forrest ever convicted of the massacre of the Black soldiers who surrendered to him at Fort Pillow?
The fact is that people get killed in wars.

Looks like these morons have a vocabulary that's limited to two words, "Allahu Akhbar!" However, I'm reasonably certain that those aren't the morons that NATO has picked to run the country. They'll get their 15 minutes of fame before the real rulers take over and start to divvy up the oil concessions, especially the ones that the 30,000 evacuated Chinese oil workers were servicing.
Personally, I give the Chinese high marks for their handling of the situation. Since they weren't able to do a God-damn thing about it, they never even tried. They just concentrated on getting their men out, which they did very successfully with no casualties. Don't know how much equipment, if any, they were able to salvage. But in the meantime, and for avoidance of this kind of nonsense in the future, they've already gutted one vintage Russian carrier, rebuilt her to state-of-the-art and when she finishes her shakedown cruise, they are going to build another three from scratch. Next time "the West" or NATO makes another grab for oil fields that China has a working interest in, it probably won't be such a cake-walk. Slow and methodical, China won't be rushed.

It seems to me that all China has done is to work to assure that China has the resources it needs for China to feed itself and to prosper. They have not attacked Taiwan, and they surely could have been more harsh with Macao and Hong Kong had they been strict ideologues.
