The pride parade happened today and thus time of year is when i see the most barely dressed young very attractive women around. It the only time in america a women dressed as such in public in such safety. Anywhere else cannot compare in safety. It's pretty tough for a predator get a girl if you don't know if your target is a girl. Also a plus fir the ladies to see that many guys and not worry about getting hit on.
This is litterally the safest place on earth for being a young woman to party. No other place can supply this level of safety. Gender confusing can be conforting for a lady
Also a plus the gays here are ex-military so it not like they can't and won't protect the girls

Are there still enough mates for these young women? Or must they go to more dangerous climes for that purpose?

At that age thier not normally available willing men for escorts for outdoor parties. Mardi gras, spring break are extremely dangerous compared to this.
In fact american culture tend to frown women to party like men outdoord have a she deserves to be attacked attitude. Some old attitudes never changed. It was even brought up 6 months ago by women how unfair women have to be alot more cautios then men when outdoors .
this event is a very welcome for women to enjoy themselves without hassle. Except maybe women only events. So this is actually the safest event for women with men around.

There are as many Lesbians as Gay men. There is therefore no shortage of men. There might be a shortage of the men that women want, though.

Its nit an issue of available men but places for women to do things publicly without hassle. Men simply has alot less restrictions on that matter. Yes its very unfair but until the solution presents itself we're stuck with it.
Now on a totally unrelated topic on the matter of shortage of men that women want. Lately i heard it's the opposite is going on. Thiers a growing movement called mgtow and it's branded as anti-feminst.
It's bacisly men taking the expression women have said they don't need a man and respond and say thier giving up on marraige. If this keeps growing we may see some notable reactions very soon.

Overall financially for women. The rest i got zip data whatsoever. But i do acknowledge we will have a tendency to pair up.

Marriage is almost always better for women, being as a pregnant woman requires more care and then food, shelter, and clothing for the child.
In the days when women were restricted to only a few occupations, it was even more essential for women to get married.

I think most women think men should marry.
Men are predominantly responsible for setting precedence about family customs in every culture, but women certainly have a veto power in most of them.
Women would say that men should marry to have children and to raise them, and also to get nookie.

Attitudes do not become obsolete. There will always be people who have certain undesirable attitudes.

I would like to quibble with it.
Some attitudes are both popular and useful for a period .
Circumstances change , and the useless attitude becomes unpopular.
The notion that marriage is obsolete is in the middle of its run.

Gays are certainly going to be disappointed , the social approval was the point of it all to them.

I do not think marraige has been thought obsolete at all. I tend to think it got abused too much. The very foundation of family laws exploit it. People marry less because of it.
I actually know a coworker who actually faked a pregnancy to get married. I've yet heard such a scenario ended well.

Gay people have NEVER claimed that all people should be married: they have claimed that all people that wish to be married should have that right.
By social mandate, I mean something like the Mormon and Amish, who preach that all people should be married to fulfill the demands of the church.
No government that I know of does this, and none should.

But they do want the state stamp of approval on their homosexuality.
That is the mandate I speak of , but for real, I expect a lot of disappointment to be expressed.

I didn't know that gay people being sloppy was part of the problem.

I meant it as joke.
In all these talks about gays the one stereotype thier known for is improving the neighborhood they live in. the castro in san francisco is the gay district and its the cleanest most trendiest place in town. Ethnic group tend to get some crime related stereotype. But gays don't get that tag.

In Miami, gays are accused most often of gentrifying formerly rundown neighborhoods.
Fancy mansions near the bay were converted into rather squalid tiny apartments, and the neighborhood became famous for crime and such.
Gays bought the mansions and restored them, and were accused of depriving the poor of affordable housing.
Mansions that sold for $60K were restored and now are listed at $400K and up.
The areas where gay owners predominate in Miami are not at all run down or seedy. But I don't think that a majority of gays are homeowners.
Key West is so gentrified that even very small houses are selling for a million. There are almost no affordable places where the hotel and restaurant workers can afford.
