I respectfully disagree.  WHEN it tanks, its sanctuary status will have contributed to its tanking exponentially

...and that it is a predominant self-proclaimed, self-adored sanctuary city

?? The homeless is a separate issue . You give the impression you would blame all issue to that status and refuse to believe the contrary.

Not at all.  What contributes to increase homelessness?  More and more taking in low/no income illegal immigrants, with pretty much no means to pay for anything, thus the need for increased services and increased taxes to support them, driving cots up and the price of homes even higher.

And now Brown & the Democrats want to add mandatory healthcare coverage for them as well??

Are you.assuming this ? Be ause our homeless situation is caused by no oversight of where the budget goes and the massive cost of housing has drained funds that can go to people. We had an audit over a decade ago and it somehow got shutdown. Our home prices is not from from illegals but from highly restitctive policies that gives no advatages to homeowners that forces them to take advantage of the extemely high demand for homes in this city.

By your reasoning prices should go down not up. If sanctuary was really that bad it woukd be a very welcoming thing for the people of san francisco. Our housing prices is very strong indicator we don't have enough crime

I'm assuming the basics of math & reality.  When a city (or state) embraces anyone that wants to come in illegally, and will even protect them from Federal prosecution for their crime of entering illegally, with many of these illegal immigrants having precious little to support themselves, much less a family, that's a Democrat politician's dream...more potential votes to push for more Government assistance, at a greater cost to tax payers.  A win win for the politician, and a lose lose for the middle class

you were correct excpet for one factor greater tax cost would lower cost to housing not increase it due to deminishing demand which does not exsit in san francisco. I state the visible problem in san francisco is the homeless which existed decades before and not from lack of funds . Housing cost is a greater factor why funds (over 400mil)seems to not to lower the numbers. To say illegals automaticlly get assistance more likely be partially true to the very blatant but most tend to stay enough it seems here in san francisco to not have any real impact.

Im not saying illegals are not a problem but thier not the primary issue to pin everything else to. We got enough idiots that has nothing to do with illegals to blame for that. Example we alwats have money to fix potholes but never use the money for it due to being diverted to pet projects. We actually had a tiger attack due to Laps regulations.

Hahahaha!

There is a new thought!

I understand that the last gun shop in the city limits has closed now , is there really so little crime that the demand for pistols is nil?

This is just very outside my experience.

Crime isn't that low but it hasn't yet effect the residence enough cause people to not leave there like oakland or detroit

Oakland has recently gain a housing price increase due the spillover from san francisco . The demand to live here is so high it's driving the price around everything else. The oakland is still quite scarey to visit but it has pockets of prosperity.
