cliffhouse is nice it showed sutrobaths remains and the great highway (really lame name for a beach)
go to fishermans wharf and look for the musee machanique(spelling) it has a colection of old time arcades machines(alot of fun)

if anybody got achance goto chinatown`s capital restaurant for the chicken wings & goldengate bakery-egg custard

both supergood

northbeach has a bakery called victorias has this cake that frosting taste like chocolate muose.

the picture says it`s called a chocolate truffle cake- it`s a speacial order but worth it

here`s another example of businesses should be weary of opening in san francisco

http://articles.sfgate.com/2008-01-22/bay-area/17150306_1_kwon-north-beach-chamber-permit

that neighborhood is also preventing this  buildings from reopening, because they only want it to be open in it`s original form only.

Kimba....even my liberal brother complains about how "anti-business"
the california authorities are....we are in the same kind of business and
he says he gets "hounded" much more than we do in Texas. After
being in business for himself now for a few years and seeing the
damage the bureaucrats do he has become a bit less liberal.

That much have been a local buyout. Here in Miami Walgreens is all over the place.

We have no Thrifty's, CVS is the other large chain.

Kimba....one thing I don't like about the Bay Area is the traffic
we were going into San Fran on a Sunday afternoon and it was bumper2bumper
i asked my brother....looks like there must be a bad accident?
he said...no....this is pretty typical....I said "on a sunday?"
everything else I love..the weather, the ocean, the parks, the food, the sites, the culture...

I think it`s a smart business move to keep the ice cream parlor.

I notice those are popping up in my town. I think(hoping ) ice cream parlors are making a comeback.

if any of you folks ever get to the deyoung museum check out the tower it has a very impressive view of the park

as long as it`s not in san francisco it has a chance. I notice long establish eateries tend to thrive outside of my town.

I didn't say it was a perfect world. California is not any sort of perfect world, it is ungovernable.

I simply pointed out that many businesses could not leave, and those remaining businesses would be taxed.

It is a perfectly logical point.

maybe you should have stated it that way in the first place and there would not have been so much confusion. boy, for a teacher you suck!

California is not any sort of perfect world, it is ungovernable.

And guess which party has been running it into that ungovernable state?

I simply pointed out that many businesses could not leave, and those remaining businesses would be taxed.

Actually....it was far more authoritive vs your above matter-of-fact backpedal: Many companies cannot leave. because they must provide services in the area....They will stay and they will get taxed

And more importantly, FAR more businesses CAN leave, with many having already done so

It is a perfectly logical point.

And even more logical is Cu4's point, that a state, the size and hunger for government dollars, as CA is, can't survive on the mere taxes of dentists, home air conditioner installers, carpet stores, & restaurants
