So BT do you agree with me that there is a great chance Hillary is
the nominee if the unemployment rate stays where it is or gets worse?

Don't know about Hillary, but don't be surprised if you end up with a governor from a swing state. Bredesen from TN would be OK.

I think Obama is a one termer

Oh...and I only agree that Obama is a one-termer if we get our act together
The Democrats have large groups of nipple suckers that they can depend on
They will re-elect the Charlie Rangels no matter what they are found doing.
So even as bad as Obama is...with his gvt leeches...he could still beat many Republicans that will run.
I think Obama would destroy Palin, destroy Huckabee, destroy Gingrich.....
We better run a winner....or Obama gets to appoint more Supreme Court Justices for many years.

Then hope the R's don't run a retread.

I like Palin but i don't think her best place is on the ticket.

Daniels might be good.

I agree....I dont think Gov Palin is electable
and I also am not 100% sure she is ready for the job
I like her a lot....and I agree with her on almost everything
But I think there are others better suited for the monumental task
She can play an important role doing other things besides being a candidate

Daniels might be good.

Dumb question....but who is Daniels?

You see...I never claimed, or even implied that what Obama said was a mandate.  That was your leap of illogic.  I can only imagine why

A president absolutely should use the bully pulpit, to ADVOCATE that which he believes is the right course of action.  NOT to MANDATE it.  You understand the difference?

I appreciate you continuing to reinforce my point.  The interesting aspect is all this time you're doing that, and still not 1 quote from Bush that references how corporate America has to to X.

You read into my quote, what you wanted to read into it.  Instead of my simply referencing what Obama said, you had to make the leap of illogic that that was akin to claiming he was speaking a mandate......I guess by executive order.  And/or that legislation must be pending.  The only question that really is left is ...WHY?  Why on earth, would you think that??

Why couldn't it be precisely as I clearly was implying....Liberal President, with track record of pushing AND passing a boatload of mandates & regulations upon Private industry & its citizenry, supporting the notion that Corporate America must share its profits.  And given that track record, you don't think that given the chance, he'd do precisely that, via Government?

Isn't that what you did with the Obama quote?

He has a track record that backs up precisely what I "read into it"

He has a track record that backs up precisely what I "read into it"

So his remarks indicated some kind of mandate, given his track record?

But when you look at his track record it is kind of spotty.

He was going to focus on the economy like a laser and yet unemployment is still as high as it was when he decided to focus on the economy.

He said we would close down GITMO.

Nope, didn't happen.

Said he wouldn't extend the Bush tax cuts for the rich, yet he did.

Said we would be out of Afghanistan by last July. Hasn't happened.

What his track record shows is he is long on rhetoric and short on action.

Unless you are looking for something to read into his remarks.

Then you must be shivering in your boots because he used "have to" instead of should.

And i must have it in for you you because i dared to disagree with whatever your everchanging position is.

NOOOO.  Gads why are you being so purposely obtuse and disengenous?  How many times does my referencing NO MANDATE will it take before you come to the conclusion, that oh, sirs isn't referring to a mandate.  He's merely referencing what Obama says...perhaps a position he supports, one of the Government mandating that corporations share their profits.  Ahhhh

So when sirs takes issue with Obama saying "have to" it is not because Obama is mandating anything it is just that Obama appears to be advocating a mandate, given his stellar track record on delivering upon what he advocates.

uh huh
