Title: too late for me to go
Post by: kimba1 on August 29, 2008, 05:48:46 PM
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Experience (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Experience)

the star trek theme vegas attraction is ending this sunday
sure am glad I bought that all day pass and did the rides 3 times each
wish i did the behind the scenes though.
the timing sucks
it might of made some serious buck with the movie coming out.
but that`s thier problem.
even though I`m obviously not a trekkie.
I`ll always a soft spot for star trek
I wouldn`t mind a borg implant if it gets me wicked fast(tv speed) internet.
like how the dalek simply in a minute downloaded the whole internet in a minute
someone once said that if the borg really existed they would be good looking not mixed as they are portrayed.
so I guess seven of nine in the later episodes would be more accurate.

Two words: visual overlays.

If you've been borged, you can see everyone else however they want to be seen. Physical appearance won't matter any more.

ever read leo frankowski`s a boy and his tank?
It uses direct neural vr to have thier human operators  drive the tanks
in some cases the driver don`t even know thier in tanks and is unaware of what they are doing.
but that`s more on the sequel which I can`t find the book yet.
