Georgia on Pat Buchanan's Mind

Pat Buchanan on Georgia - http://www.lewrockwell.com/buchanan/buchanan93.html

I love this story because (1) Russia's on the way back up and (2) American imperialism took a real kick in the ass.

Conversely, the MSM hates it for exactly those reasons.  A full analysis of the situation would lead to some conclusions about the possible consequences of fascism, imperialism and militarism that could slow down the War Party's plans for world domination, so I guess the best way for them to deal with the whole situation is to make it disappear.

I think the next step for the Russians is to strengthen existing ties with the Chinese and reach out to the Indians and Pakistanis as well and try to build a bloc that will stand like a brick wall against the War Party's plans.  The Shanghai Cooperation Organization would be a good place to start.  If both Greece and Turkey could have been brought into NATO, I don't see why both India and Pakistan couldn't be brought into the SCO.

The story of Georgia is an encouraging and heartening one.  Looks like the U.S. is finally running up against the limits of neo-con policy.  Hopefully this will translate into major defeats in Afghanistan and Iraq as well, but only time will tell.

The only place I would disagree with you is in US losing Afghanistan. The Taleban are an unusually bad group .

In Afghanistan, they're ALL "unusually bad groups."
http://www.hrw.org/backgrounder/asia/afghan-bck1006.htm

They're a bunch of anti-British bastards whose methods of dealing with prisoners would probably shock the average Nazi. They're no different now than they were a hundred and fifty years ago.

The U.S. is not in Afghanistan because the Taliban are a bunch of evil bastards.  They are there because they prefer a different and more subservient (to U.S. interests) bunch of evil bastards.  A kick in the ass to the U.S. in Afghanistan means a set-back to American plans for world domination and oppression.
