And not the statement being referenced either.  Hell, Hitler shouldn't have been allowed to own a firearm.  Neither should have Booth or Oswald.  That's irrelevent to the question posed.  So, if you can't answer it, just say so.

And your claim that I'd be ok with arming Hinckley to shoot Reagan remains just as erroneous as when you 1st blathered it

I'd say Hinckley should have been prevented from owning a gun and ammo no matter whom he was planning to shoot.

Hinckley should v=never have been allowed to own a gun or ammo. That is a simple enough statement. Not an erroneous one.

I'd say Hinckley should have been prevented from owning a gun and ammo no matter whom he was planning to shoot.

Sure, it'd be nice to say that now, after the fact.  Who wouldn't.  Same with Booth, same with Oswald.  Same with every killer.  Yes, they should all have been prevented from obtaining a firearm.  Nice to say, much harder to implement, while still allowing the 99% of the rest of the country to exercise their constitutional right to own a firearm

Nor does it clear you from your erroneous claim that I'd be ok with arming Hinckley for the assassination attempt

And that's the difference between the 2 of us.  I do care about your "stupid" rights, and would defend them until my last breath

You are referring to the fact that you are a snarky moron, of course.

You started this with some dumb warning that the Democrats should not use Brady's death as an opportunity to bring up gun control, thereby bringing it up here all by yourself.

Have you no idea how really stupid your comments are?

LOL...more of that projection I see.  I hope you at least combed your hair when you were looking into that mirror, since the only one here loaded for bear in snarks, insults, demonizing & ignorant claims, would be yourself there Professor.  Alas, how so much better you could make this place if you used even half of that energy to actually debate & dialog respectfully.

And the most ironic point is that I'd be the one defending your "stupid" right to say such crud.  Go figure
