I would think that it is most likely someone compiling a sucker list of people who want to buy illegal guns. Once they have the money of the suckers, the suckers would be reluctant to complain to the government about the rip off.

Not an entirely bad thing: it is a good thing that stupid, easily duped people are not armed with lethal weapons.

Should I be happy when people who do not agree with me get ripped off?

I know that I would be.
People that are stupid enough to be scammed should not own such dangerous weapons.

So there you have it.  People who are easily duped, should be banned from ever purchasing hammers (or probably any type of power tool, for that matter)

In the movie "Minority Report" even with a reliable means to predict future crime , the police seemed to arrest the wrong guy .

This is sort of a thought experiment.

How stupid do we have a right to be?

How stupid do we have a right to be?

People are as stupid as they are born to be. Stupidity is like having  earlobes. Everyone hyas them.

Ihe argument is not how stupid does an American have a right to be.

No.

The argument is how stupid should a person be to own an AR-15 and the answer is they should not be stupid at all,

A requirement for intelligence and stability sounds good , until you consider what entities will be setting these standards.

Again, if some clown is so stupid as to put himself on a waiting list to buy an AR 15 for $500, then he is too stupid to actually own one.

He has already tested himself and proven he is too stupid by his actions.

Such a "list" is by no legal definition one of "stupid".  Let's try this again. ... if we're just going to throw out things we consider stupid, then anyone even considering voting for Clinton should be banned from exercising their 2nd Amendment right.

You see xo, even gun nuts like me don't think mentally unstable or confirmed terrorists should be able to legally purchase a firearm arm.  So how do we LEGALLY and with DUE PROCESS, brand folks as such??  Here's a hint....signing up for a real good deal on an AR - 15 doesn't cut it

I think it is similar to time share deals.

An honest time share can be a good deal, but there are a lot of hard sell bad deals for time share that wind up costing too much and hardly ever being used.

So I am always suspicious of deals that are too good .
