This is the latest generation of stealth.

To give it false guidence they would have to know it was there.

Stealth doesn't make it invisible to radar, it just reduces the signature to make it less likely to see it. There are other ways to ascertain it's position, once you have a suspicion it's there. And once you've guessed it's approximate location, you can use radar to pinpoint it.

It shows up as a very small radar signature, which can be, if you're only casually scanning the area, easy to lose in the background "noise". If you suspect something is in a small area, you can concentrate your attention - and even increase the gain of the signal - to make a small, normally inconsequential, radar return easier to spot.

I'll bet they used the control signals for the drone to make a guess at it's location.

My wife has always wondered about the mercury, in the newer enviro-friendly light bulbs.  Is that not a seriously potential problem to the enviroment, when the bulbs are no longer functional?

The amount of mercury in them is trivial - many rechargeable batteries contain more mercury and other heavy metals. We're talking a few milligrams.

As far as getting rid of them - Lowe's, Home Depot, many Walmarts, many Best Buys, etc. There are lots of places that accept items that are dangerous to discard, like computers, cell phones, rechargeable batteries, etc.

Our local Best Buy has a big bin in the entryway that has labeled slots for various items - just drop them into the appropriate bin and be on your way.

He was sent to Philadelphia to give the appearance that he would not prosecute Kluxers, and then he did not prosecute them. De La Beckwith stayed out of prison for a couple of decades longer.

Regardless of the fact that De La Beckwith was not involved in the crimes at Philadelphia, and also regardless of the fact that Reagan's administration prosecuted "Kluxers".

Oh get lost. The fact is that Reagan made an appearance in Philadelphia to deliver a message that he was not going to prosecute past kluxer crimes, and once in office, he did not do so.

"A state trial ended in acquittal for six Nazis and Klansmen in 1980. Federal prosecutors brought civil rights conspiracy charges against nine participants in 1984. That trial also ended in not-guilty verdicts."

I'm pretty sure that 1984 was under Reagan.

It is a pretty good bet that unloading a gun is not done by pulling the trigger.

Not unloading it, but one of my handguns requires you to pull the trigger to release the slide and open it for cleaning. Without pulling the trigger, the spring will hold the slide in place. Needless to say, you should make sure it's unloaded before doing this...

"it does not take a major amount of skill to unload one."

You wouldn't think so but I had to show a police officer how to open up a Ruger Super Blackhawk revolver, and check it. I didn't comment, but I couldn't believe it.

I had one police officer who called another police officer to unload one of my Rugers one time.

He proceeded to chew her out after he arrived because 1) she had no reason to stop me and 2) she was an idiot.

It is not a nice try,  it is proof.

Medgar Evars (the person De La Beckwith was charged with killing) was not killed in the Mississippi Burning case. The three killed in that case were Michael Schwerner, James Chaney, and Andrew Goodman.

I would imagine a rocket test or firing on a ship or that island might be likely. But exploding an A-bomb, no. They have never done that.

North Korea has exploded nuclear devices on 2006/10/09 and 2009/05/25.

Err, XO, don't you mean that "no one was punished for this until Bush was elected"? After all, the investigation was not reopened until 2004, and was actually pushed by the Governor of Mississippi at the time, Haley Barbour (R).

Except for curling, which  I find amusing on occasion, and shown too rarely here in Miami to bore me.

Curling is a great game, which I only recently learned to appreciate. Pretty much every crappy little town in Minnesota has a curling team. There is a lot of planning and strategy in the game; I've heard it described as "slow motion chess on ice". ;-)

the have been no major repeats of 9-11, Osama and many others are no longer a threat, and he has kept his cool throughout.

As someone else liked to say, "there have been no major vampire attacks, either."

The problem is BT, from my vantage point, is that if abortion, as a reproductive control, is legal, how can we say that if you can't afford it, you can't use it?

Beer is legal. If I can't afford it, is the government required to keep me supplied?

The spoofing scenario you presented will only work on the civilian GPS signal. The military signal is encrypted (and hence can be digitally verified as authentic) and is not therefore susceptible to this type of spoofing.

A scenario that I could believe is that they jammed both the military and civilian GPS signals, then spoofed the civilian signals. And the military systems have a fall back to use the civilian signals if the military signals are lost. If this is true, expect this to be changed or disabled quickly. Either that, or they are using the civilian signals for the drones, which a stupid move.

Are the employees and officers of Planned Parenthood well compensated?

Highest executive is about $400k. Many others are over $200K, and a large number over $100k.

Can they be motivated by their carreer to defend and expand their company for the sake of career?

That's a given.

  Do they employ a lobbyist?

14 of them, actually. Also well paid.
