Well, in this neck of the woods there are usually fireworks, but kinda low-key because the "real" Firecracker Day is the 24th of May, Queen Victoria's birthday.  Just neighbourhood kids tonight.

those kids can be a problem

those fire cracker goes up to 2am.

We usually see them coming up over the roofs of the houses across the street.  I think the kids must be setting them off in the ravine behind the houses.  You're right about 2:00 AM, though.  It seems to be universal curfew time for firecrackers.

big problem is that it screws up the chickens
it`ll be days before they lay eggs again.
the rest of the animals gets skitish afterwards
