I did not say that Barr Pro shops was silly. Its purpose is to make money selling stuff, and it seems to have done very well.

The name "Bass Pro Shops" is rather silly. Perhaps it is effective as a lure to bring in customers. There is a Bass Pro Shop just off I-95, I have passed it many times, The parking lot always seems to have a lot of cars in it. Bass fishing is not as big a deal in Florida as in Missouri. At least not near the ocean.

Camo bikinis apparently sell well.  $4.95 is a great price for something made in a Chinese or Bangladeshi sweatshop for 50¢. So selling these is not silly. BUYING them is silly.

That is not a camo bikini.  Not that it makes any difference. There are, of course, lots of women that look good in a bikini, and because what you are looking at is 97% woman and 3% bikini, it really does not make much difference what the bikini fabric looks like.

The purpose of camo is to blend in with the forest or jungle. There are no bikinis that would cause a woman to blend in with a forest or jungle, unless she was forest or jungle colored, The concept of a camo bikini is simply foolish. At most, a camo bikini would cause 3% of a woman to blend in with the scenery./ And of course, women may be good at combat, but they would be foolish to go into combat wearing a bikini. This would apply to men as well. Bikinis are not adequate combat apparel.

A cam bikini is rather like an electric fork, or a hearing aid powered by a chainsaw engine.

The entire concept of a camouflage bikini is ridiculous.  That one has colors that are too bright to blend in to any earthly vegetation: if you make it a catsuit that covered her entire body, she would not blend in to any habitat on this planet.

They are free to call it camouflage if they wish.

It is better-looking than the usual camo, by the way.

It is pretty much impossible to hide pretty, young naked women from men.  No bikini could do that.

The idea that a Professional Bass Fisherman would expect to find a camo bikini in a store designed for actual Professional Bass Fishermen is riotously funny. A triumph of marketing over logic.

Police: 11-year-old scares intruder away with shotgun

LAPEER COUNTY, MI (WNEM)

An 11-year-old girl used a shotgun to scare an intruder away from their home.

The 11-year-old was home alone when a vehicle entered the driveway. The individual knocked on all the doors and then forced entry into the residence, the Lapeer County Sheriff's Department said.

The child hid in a bedroom closet with a shotgun, police said. The bedroom and the closet were eventually forced open by the suspect.

The 11-year-old aimed the gun at the suspect and the suspect fled from the residence, police said, adding the child was not harmed during the incident.

"Her father is an avid hunter, she is familiar with weapons and inside that closet is where the gun case is," Detective sergeant Jason Parks said.

The sheriff's department responded to the house on Five Lakes Road in North Branch Township just before 4 p.m. Friday.

The suspect's vehicle was located in Imlay City, about 30 minutes after the incident, and stopped by Imlay Police, Almont Police Department, Michigan State Police and Lapeer County Sheriff's deputies, police said. The occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.

James Wasson, 53, of Detroit, and Rhonda Steward, 31, of Detroit, are in custody at the Lapeer County Jail. They are charged with first-degree home invasion, second-degree home invasion, and burglary tool possession.

Wasson is also charged with receiving and concealing stolen property valued between $1,000 and $20,000, felon in possession of a firearm and firearm with commission of a felony.

Detectives say the two have hit 25 to 50 homes since December.

"Due to this little girl, her keeping her composure, she was able to observe and articulate what she saw. It definitely made a huge difference in this case and because of that ability, people are in custody," Parks said.

The name of the store "Bass Pro Shops" is silly: there may be a few professional Bass fishermen, but certainly not a sufficient number to justify an entire nationwide chain of stores to supply them. The name was chosen because of a realization that it would attract a lot of people who perhaps might fantasize every so often about making bass fishing an occupation.

A camouflage bikini is an even more ridiculous concept, since a bikini does not cover enough of any human being to render them invisible in the woods or anywhere else. Camouflage burkhas, camouflage nun's habits or Klan robes might be useful disguises, but a camouflage bikini is a ridiculous proposition.

Where better to sell ridiculous clothing than a shop with a silly illogical name? It suggests that there is a large number of illogical thinkers in any population in which both the ridiculous clothing and the illogically named shop might exist?

Still, it does suggest that if one needed fishing tackle, this might be a store to consider. Like going to Staples to buy, well, staples. And staplers.

Yes, indeed...that is your entire point...that no one else is making....yet again  LOL....NO ONE IS MAKING CAMUAFLAGED BIKINIS FOR BASS FISHERMEN.      Despite your personal likes and dislikes in a store name is irrelvent.  The store sells to more than simply Bass Fishermen.  There are things specific in the store they would want, and there are other items, such as camaflauged bikinis, someone else might want.  The fact that they keep them stocked, obviously means that those other someones are indeed purchasing them

Nor is the purpose of such a bikini to be considered something a covert operative might use.  It's simply a style, like stripes, polka dots, bunnies.  Good gravy
