Osama speaks like Michael Moore
« on: September 07, 2007, 06:07:51 PM »
Osama Bin Laden:

"You permitted Bush to complete his first term, and stranger still, chose him for a second term, which gave him a clear mandate from you -- with your full knowledge and consent -- to continue to murder our people in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Then you claim to be innocent!  The innocence of yours is like my innocence of the blood of your sons on the 11th -- were I to claim such a thing."

ever notice many on the Left basically utter the same anti-Bush, it's all our fault, blame america message?

Of course he sounds like Michael. You guys always do that. Soon it will no longer work for you with the American Sheeple:

Sept. 7, 2007 -- Bin Laden tape another ruse.
publication date: Sep 7, 2007

Sept. 7, 2007 -- Bin Laden tape another ruse.

"Osama bin Laden" supposedly appears in a new videotape with a dyed and trimmed beard and talking about Democratic control of Congress and the coming to power of Nicolas Sarkozy in France and Gordon Brown in Britain. Here is the full transcript.

"Bin Laden" also refers to George W. Bush as the "leader of Texas." He also talks of the Democrats' failure to "stop the war." "Bin Laden," who once recommended William Blum' s book "Rogue State," is back in the Book-of-the-Month Club business in plugging Noam Chomsky and ex-CIA "Bin Laden Unit" chief Michael Scheuer.

"Bin Laden" also mentions "neoconservatives" like Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Richard Pearl [sic], meaning Richard Perle. He also refers to Colin Powell and Richard Armitage and "their blood history of murdering humans." Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair also gets honorable mention.

"Bin Laden" also states that President John Kennedy was killed and "corporations were the primary beneficiary of his killing."

Days before a huge anti-war march in Washington, on September 15, Bin Laden states that carrying "anti-war placards" in the streets is of no use.

As if expecting that many people will view the tape as a fake, the neocon media and their usual "sources" and "experts" are already claiming that it is quite common for Arab mean to dye their beards to make themselves look younger.

Bin Laden's previous tape was released on October 29, 2004, days before the U.S. presidential election. It was viewed as giving a boost to Bush. "Bin Laden's" most recent tape comes days before the sixth anniversary of 9/11 and the release of the Bush/General David Petraeus Report, which will remind us, once again, that America is fighting "Al Qaeda" in Iraq.

I didn't follow this too closely, but one of the first things I thought was that the tape could have been faked by the Bush administration or one of the all-too-numerous state security agencies.  What I'd like to know are who are the "experts" who declare the tape to be authentic and what methods were used by them to authenticate it?

The reason I thought it was a fake was because over-all it made him look like a schmuck.  Of course, this can happen to any ageing firebrand whose glory days have come and gone.  But usually they can handle it with dignity and class.  The fact is, the man is on the run, and there ain't too much dignity or panache in that position.  Unless you're Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Dyeing the beard reminded me of another of the CIA's plots, to make Castro's beard fall out.  They recognize the macho appeal of a guy who stands up to the biggest, meanest dude in the saloon and slaps him hard across the face and gets away with it.  Whether it's Castro, Chavez or bin Laden, that act resonates with a lot of powerless and downtrodden people who think they can see a way to reclaiming their masculinity.  So, symbolically, the icon's masculinity must be destroyed - - witness the "dental examination" of Saddam Hussein, the failed attack on Castro's beard and now (if the tape really is a fake) the insidious suggestion that Osama's beard vanity (supposedly equivalent to a woman's hair vanity) leads him to do silly and un-Islamic acts like dyeing the beard.  Sub-text, he's weak, he's old, he's vain, he's just like a woman.

Here is some more insight into the bullshit Osama the Blackbeard tape:
Sept. 9, 2007 -- "Bin Laden" tape's Israeli connections

The so-called "Osama Bin Laden tape," was not only transmitted via the auspices of the Search for International Terrorist Entities (SITE) Institute, a Washington, DC-based research institute with links to Israeli right-wing Likud elements, but U.S. intelligence officials are now claiming that large portions of the "Bin Laden" speech were written by Los Angeles native Adam Gadahn, born Adam Pearlman, (aka Azzam the American), the number three man in charge of Al Qaeda, whose grandfather, Carl K. Pearlman, was a member of the board of the Anti Defamation League (ADL), an important component of the Israeli Lobby in the United States.

Carl Pearlman, a prominent California urologist, was the chairman of the Orange County Bonds for Israel campaign and the United Jewish Welfare Fund.

SITE and an Israeli intelligence front operation in Washington, MEMRI (the Middle East Media Research Institute), are closely linked. MEMRI has been responsible for mis-translating several speeches made by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad. SITE's director is Rita Katz, an Iraq-born Jew who moved to Israel after her father was executed by Saddam Hussein's government for spying for the Mossad. She emigrated to the United States from Israel in 1997. Katz worked for the US Treasury Department in its pursuit of Muslim charity funds in the United States in Operation Green Quest and as a consultant for the FBI. The main coordinator for Green Quest was the then-head of the Justice Department's Criminal Division, Michael Chertoff.

Katz once served as Research Director of the Investigative Project, another neocon outfit run by noted Arab and Muslim demonizer Steven Emerson, who was one of the first past the post to blame the 1995 Murrah Federal Building bombing on Arab terrorists.

The co-founder of MEMRI is Col. Yigal Carmon, a former Israeli military intelligence officer and adviser to Prime Ministers Yitzhak Shamir and Yitzhak Rabin. The other founder of MEMRI is Meyrav Wurmser, who is also employed by the Hudson Institute, a neocon think tank where I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the convicted Bush administration perjurer and obstructor of justice, has taken up residence.

The delivery of the latest "Bin Laden" video was reported by the Associated Press as follows: "the 30-minute video was obtained by the SITE Institute, a Washington-based group that monitors terrorist messages, and provided to the Associated Press." In the past, Bin Laden videos were sent to Al Jazeera and other Arab media sources directly.

The first news of the video's release came on the al-Sahab web site, where "Al Qaeda" has previously posted messages.

Last year, a leaked French intelligence report stated that Bin Laden died of typhoid fever in Pakistan. There are other reports that after the US attack on Afghanistan, Bin Laden was spirited out of Afghanistan to his native Hadhramaut region of Yemen, where he later died of kidney failure surrounded by his close and extended family members. Bin Laden's post-9/11 presence in Hadhramaut was hinted to by reputable Israeli intelligence sources in discussions with this editor in 2002.

The speed at which the corporate media accepted the obviously bogus "Bin Laden makeover" tape is amazing. However, considering the links between the neocon disinformation machinery in Washington, DC and the corporate media, it may not be so surprising when put into context.

Thanks, Knute, that was hilarious.  It later occurred to me that in addition to making bin Laden look ridiculous, another purpose of the tape could have been to smoke him out - - piss him off to the extent that he feels he has to make a "real" tape to counteract the made-in-Israel fake, and in so doing, somehow tip off the watchers as to his whereabouts.

"Bin Laden" is, of course, a huge asset to the Bush administration.  Kinda like "Emmanuel Goldstein" in Orwell's "1984" - - I'm just waiting for CNN and the rest of the so-called MSM to institute their own version of the "Three-Minute Hate" starring OBL in lieu of Goldstein.  It's really amazing, the parallels between 1984 and Bushworld.

OBL would never be as stupid as the Bushidiot and fall into an adolescent trap like that, but I wouldnt put it past the Bushidiot to try it.

Did any named individual in the Bsh Administration tout this as the genuine article or is this strictly a creature of the press?

There is still no word as to whether Bin Laden is using Grecian Formula.

Only his hairdresser knows for sure.

If Perle's name were misspelled "Pearl", this would have been the fault of his translator, not Bin Laden, who would have been writing or dictating in Arabic, which traditionally does not write vowels.

So this is a media event? You would think the MSM would want quotes from the admin on this.

They usually save "unnamed senior officials" for the hatchet jobs.

You know what I found interesting....was the sheer desperation that apparently permeates Usama & AlQeada.  When they 1st started attacking the U.S., Usama was very arrogant and confident in his rhetoric, attacking all of America, all of it's citizens, all of its components.  Now, he's nothing more than an apparent DNC speech writer.  Heck, MoveOn could have prepared his speech for him.  Desperate tiimes apparently call for desperate measures       :P

Why bother with "unnamed senior officials" when the "President" himself was commenting on the speech for the MSM?

We know what the terrorists intend to do because they've told us -- and we need to take their words seriously. So today I'm going to describe -- in the terrorists' own words, what they believe? what they hope to accomplish, and how they intend to accomplish it. I'll discuss how the enemy has adapted in the wake of our sustained offensive against them, and the threat posed by different strains of violent Islamic radicalism. I'll explain the strategy we're pursuing to protect America, by defeating the terrorists on the battlefield, and defeating their hateful ideology in the battle of ideas.
