According to xo, ALL their rights are to be restored. ... as they have paid their debt to society

One of the arguements says they need to earn that right. But was not clear how this is done. Does that mean they need to be crime free for x amount of years. I believe most tend to not want to be caught in a crime to begin with. Not even sure many want all thier rights restored. Ex. Jury duty

You touch upon a serious and substantive compromise Kimba.....one that if the Governor had followed, would have demonstrated his seriousness to the issue vs simply a brazen & transparent attempt to garner Democrat votes, for an upcoming Presidential election

UNTRUE!
Not gun "rights" for people who have committed gun crimes. You cannot understand simple English and are not to be taken seriously, sirs.

You said ALL rights.

Quote
If the convict has paid his debt to society, then why should all his rights, including the right to vote, NOT be restored?

Can you not read your own type?

But now the cat's out of the bag.....its only selected rights that would only be helpful to your party, at election time.  Has nothing to do with debt to society being paid

Let's let John Hinckley out and issue him an Uzi.

  Question.

Why are felons considered a Democratic voting bloc?

People of all sorts commit crime, what about the experience of being a felon would make one lean Democratic?

Is it possible that there are attitudes and behaviors that predispose people both to crime and the Democratic party?

So, the right to vote is no big deal?

Compared to other rights, some others take a lot more to earn back?

Obama and AG Lynch want to take this nationally now

Don't you love how a criminal or ex-con is neither any more....now they are "justice-involved individuals"      >:(

reminds of an expression a conservative is a liberal who got robbed and a liberal is a conservative who got arrested.
