Following a Bernie Sanders rally at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa, Sunday, those who "feel the Bern" were surprised to find out that the very rally they just attended was supported by billionaires, a group of people that almost all Sanders supporters rail against.
Much to their surprise, the Sanders supporters were informed that MoveOn.org is owned by several billionaires, one of which is George Soros, who has a net worth of at least "five times" that of Republican front-runner Donald Trump.

Please, Soros is small potatoes compared with the honchos that run the GOP.
This is UNIMPORTANT.

Bernie did one great job running Burlington, and he woudl be better than Cruz the weasel with the voice of a cartoon duck, Rubio the Prettyboy or Trump the meglomaniac.
-
Because Bernie Sanders won four less delegates from Ohio than HRC, he now trails HRC by approximately three hundred fifty delegates.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Democratic_Party_superdelegates,_2016
Some of these delegates were won in a coin toss, some have been committed to Hillary as returned favors, since years ago.
-
Bo0th Bernie and Hillary would be far better than any of the GOP bunch.

Bo0th Bernie and Hillary would be far better than any of the GOP bunch.
For no particular reason?
Bernie Sanders seems sincere and Hillary Clinton seems insincere , so I like Bernie Sanders better, but since I disagree with his world view and what he thinks will and won't work so neither of them really get my vote.
But I would swim an icy river with a broken arm to vote against HRC. Doesn't depend on the alternative.
To vote against BS I might brave a rainy day. Depending.
After all isn't the Whitehouse the natural home of BS?
(Best initials for candidate since RBH)

Totally moronic and unoriginal, CU4.
Do you want the pretty Cuban, the ugly Cuban or just the Ugly?
-
...and still more name calling. Pity as an example of "higher learning" and "liberal intelligence", when it comes to debating :-[

Xavier I like Senator Cruz on probably almost every issue, but I am skeptical he could win in Nov.
It would be a real tough battle to get him elected...he is more polarizing...maybe even worse than Trump.
I think at least Trump would attract quite a few traditional Dem voters...I am worried if Senator Cruz could do that
Senator Cruz can rub people the wrong way.
In my personal polling...which I do a lot of...some people say they don't trust Cruz.
It's not like they trust Hillary either...Hillary has horrible trust ratings
but still Cruz grates on a certain segment of people.
On the other-hand Senator Rubio is a much easier sell.
Senator Rubio would present a very stark contrast to Hillary in a general election.
Old vs Young, new vs old, Hispanic vs White, and No Bill hanging around with interns.
Senator Rubio is bright, non-confrontational, and relatively conservative on most issues.
I really like Senator Rubio.
In fact I had a Rubio sticker on my SUV until he was deciding vote on Obama Trade Bill.
That sticker could very well go back on my SUV.
As a matter of fact I made my 2nd donation to Senator Rubio this morning.
Senator Rubio isn't a transformational figure like Trump, but he'd be a damn good President.

I live in Florida, in the same county as Rubio. The pretty boy SOB has never has any job except in politics, and he is a a flyweight, much lighter than a lightweight. His pattern has been to get elected, and then to use his influence to get elected to a better position. he has no principles, all he is is a little prick with ambitions. His money comes from Norman Brahman, a fatcat Jewish car dealer who used Marco to get influence in the local and state governments. After he was term limited out of the legislature, he was paid (because Brahman donated the money) to teach part time for about $10K more than a full time teacher was paid. He only showed up about half the time. He attends both Catholic Mass and Baptist services, but at one time he was a Mormon. He has done NOTHING in the Senate except run for president. He will do whatever he is paid to do by his supporters. he would be an execrable president. Everyone hates Ted Cruz, because he is a weasel and a smartass.
Cruz is the son of a nutball fundie preacher who was once an alcoholic and then found Jeezus. He does not just run some people the wrong way, he rubs damned near everyone the wrong way. No one, not even the Republicans in Congress like him. He is a phony Christian and a phony everything. He is a scheming, devious weasel. He also would be a terrible president, but less predictable than Rubio.
Neither of these Cubans would be here if the same rules had been applied to their parents are they want to impose on immigrants. This country does not admit maids and bartenders, alcoholics and probably not many fundie preachers, either. The USA has way to many uneducated common laborers with no special talents. The Consul would take their applications, charge then a fee, and two weeks later tell them, sorry, you have not been ruled eligible to enter the US and no, you cannot have your money back.
But when Rubio's parents came here from Cuba, before Castro (they were not political refugees) they were still taking unskilled laborers. They lucked off.
Cruz father Rafael ( Ted is also named Rafael, making him a "Junior") came to the US in 1957 and was allowed to stay after his student visa expired because of the Cuban Revolution.
The GOP is in a terrible state: the best they can do is two Cubans, one a weasel and another a flyweight, and an egomaniac.
Odds are that a third party candidate or maybe a fourth will join the fray.

Hardly
-
Trump is not any sort of transformational figure other than he seems to have made hateful, bigoted and racist speech acceptable for some bigots.
-
Of course you'd want to believe that. You have to....he's one of those evil Republicans, so of course he must adhere to all the name calling adjectives.....regarldss of how outlandish the name calling is. We get it. That's all you've got left in the tank

Obama has been a better than average president. Far better than McCain or Rawmoney would have been.

Yeah sure....
what has happened in Syria due in large part Obama's support of rebels & his failure to reel in the Saudis is a war crime.
look at the devastation of Obama's failure to lead and allow this to happen to the Syrian people.

President Obama is in no way responsible for the Syrian Civil War.
It was started by Syrians and most of the destruction was done by Syrians.
Syria is not now and has never been within the US sphere of influence.
-
President Obama is in no way responsible for the Syrian Civil War.
Obama without a doubt played a significant part in the destabilization of Syria by supporting
the rebels and not putting pressure on Saudi Arabia to stop funding and arming the rebels.
Obama was directly involved in all the actions below.
Without huge funding/arms/training the rebels would have been no match for Assad.

Thank God President Putin said "ENOUGH"!
-
Professor likes to play the literal card, much of the time....this being an example, where he implies that we've said Obama is the cause of everything bad, such as in Syria. No one is making that claim. The claim is that his foreign policy has been so abysmal, that policies put forth by this administration have had intimate repercussions that have led to the middle east being such a powder keg, be it Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, North Korea, China, etc., etc., etc.
In other words, No one is saying that "Obama is responsible for the Syrian Civil War". But his polices have directly exacerbated the situation, which is the point everyone is making
-
Obama has been a better than average president. Far better than McCain or Rawmoney would have been.
Ugh!
In what manner does this president surpass the "average" of US Presidents?
His chief accomplishment so far is to improve health insurance coverage for about 3% of the population at the cost of increasing the cost substantially for all the rest.
Or one might from another point of view consider his biggest accomplishment to be a complete vindication of his immediate predecessor and an engendering of nostalgia for the economy , military situation, employment level , self and ,international respect that the people enjoyed just seven years ago.
I think that considering President Obama a placeholder, would be charitable.
-
He will go down as one of the greatest.
You are blinded by your addiction to guns and "conservatism".
-
Oh, the irony
-
He will go down as one of the greatest.
You are blinded by your addiction to guns and "conservatism".
Is this your list of his accomplishments , for which he will be considered great?
This is very like the list of things he had done to deserve his Nobel Prize when he got it.
This list>>---> he exists.
-
Obama did not get the Nobel Prize for anything he did as president. The Nobel Peace Prize Committee gave the award to show that they saw his election as an important humanitarian milestone in a country that had been afflicted with race wars and discrimination for centuries.
I note that they did not give one to Reagan when he chose to start his 1980 campaign in one of the most infamous racist counties in Mississippi.

I know , and they must be mightily disappointed .
How were they to know that as President, Obama would prove to be a racist himself?

Only in your mind. The only kind of racism racists believe in is "reverse racism".
-
Racism is racism regardless of color
-
And when you say again and again that Obama is not really a Black man because he is only half Black, what is that?
-
Considering I've never said that, that would be nothing
-
Only in your mind. The only kind of racism racists believe in is "reverse racism".
Is there really such a thing as "reverse" racism?
If someone thinks that race is more important than right and wrong , does it matter which race is his favorite?
-
Precisely
-
Everyone knows what is meant by reverse racism. Stop playing dumb.
-
Racism is racism, reverse or otherwise. Stop playing semantic games
-
Everyone knows what is meant by reverse racism. Stop playing dumb.
If it is that easy to define , please go on and do it.
