LOL...."want"?  Bt, I'm not sure why, after all this time you've seen and read me on the various incarnations of the saloon, you'd ask such a question.

My reference to Carter II has always been in comparing him to one of the worst presidents we've ever had

The issue here though is Obama, and specifically Xo's reference to questioning if Obama would run, with the mindset that Hillary would be just fine in taking over in running for President.  To me, that was a really bizarre mindset to actually think Obama wouldn't run for re-election.  How you turned that into me "wanting" Obama to run is......nearly as bizarre

He might not run if he is faced with a serious challenge. I'm not sure he likes doing the job of president, though he certainly liked winning the election.

I did that once -- thought I needed a job change so I changed jobs and then quickly realized that I hated the new job, the new company and that the old job wasn't so bad after all. Oh well, all things happen for a reason and had I not 'moved on' I doubt I would be doing what I'm doing today. And I really love what I do now, and make a good enough living at it so I have very little financial stress in my life.

I'm glad life isn't predictable.

Although

I'm sure Adolf Hitlers parents assumed he would turn out to be a fairly good citizen, boy were they wrong.

I wonder about Obama's parents thoughts on where life would take their son...affirmative action certainly helped him along the way. Doesn't seem right that he would get that advantage to the detriment of our nation. I wonder how many doctors, lawyers, police, firemen, etc are filled with unqualified people. And sadly people that depend on them get the short end of the stick.

I fully expect Obama to go for a second term, and if the economy improves enough, he is likely to win. The GOP has alienated the Latinos.

Other than Palin, Romney and Jebbie, other Republicans are largely unknown in the rest of the country.

Many things could happen between now and the GOP convention, but Romney has the best chance at this moment. That could change.

So was Clinton in 1992.
