By the way, I tend to agree with you that this is way overblown. I was kind of shocked when I found out what the slur was. Inappropriate, but very mild.

My 14 year old daughter has seen it twice and this series of books is the first that has really got her interested in reading. Wanting to understand her fascination, I just read the first book and I found it to be very age appropriate. I don't see any problem here.

You are a good husband, Plane. I had mine out earlier this year. It was a little difficult and I am still suffering some side affects but most the time I am doing well. Just make sure she gets lots of rest and doesn't try to get back to her regular routine too soon.
