Ouch!

This is a lot of pain for a little free speech.

If I ever find myself in Arabia I will mind my Ps and Qs.

But this makes me much more want to avoid being there.

Saudi Arabia is one of the world's major tourist destinations. But they do not want you or me. They only want Muslims and they only want them to come during the month of the Hadj.  There are some interesting archeological sites there, but the Royals do not allow tourists to see them.

 I would not be a tourist , I can't afford that.

But they have work for the likes of me, friends of mine have worked there for really good pay.

But would I have to blog politely were I there?

That is a lot to ask a guy like me.

The Saudis would not bother you unless you blogged in Arabic, which you can neither speak nor write.

Since the most interesting things to visit in Saudi Arabia (the Hadj and the archeological sites) are off limits to everyone except Muslims and professional archeologists, you might as well see them in videos, films and online. The most interesting sites are ancient towns. Before Islam there were a number of Jewish and Christian communities, and those of other religions (Manicheaism, Egyptian religions, Zoroastrian religions) as well.
