IO know that if I am attacked by a bass, the best defense would be some sort of gun. And who better to sell me one than a "Bass Pro"-- someone who shoots bass professionally?

    But would it nudge someone who was sitting the fence about buying a gun, to subsidize the purchase?

     I have in mind a person I knew who told me she was being stalked and had taken a restraining order and packed a knife, later that stalker broke the restraining order and shot her and her son, she dies he son ran away wounded.

      The price of that restraining order could have bought her a second hand revolver.

       Same as she was shot with.

     I have had three decades to think on this.

I am a bit surprised that you could spend a lot of time in Florida without running into the bass fishing culture.

Only a few bass fishermen are Professional , but there are many aspirants and admirers.

Bass Pro Shops are a nice place to shop , lots of atmosphere , plenty of space , bass in a big aquarium.

Bass fishing is a better sport than watching pro football, as watching  pro football will never result in dinner.

Still the name "Bass Pro Shops" is silly. Women's bikinis in camo are also very silly.

Polo is a sport that has the most people wearing apparel that claims to have something to do with Polo that have never seen a Polo game.

It is a rather big deal in rural Argentina, south of Buenos Aires in the Provincia de Buenos Aires. Strangely, I do not recall anyone wearing anything labeled "Polo" when I visited Argentina.
