Couldn't be more true.

Bush is asking for nearly $200 billion more for his folly invasions but threatening to veto SCHIP.

And yet, even though your statement is true, it doesn't change the fact that the federal government still spends more on social programs in the US than it does on the military.

Which is of course absolutely true, and yet these delusional freaks keep spouting this nonsense. They really are crazy. God help us all.

Iraq is not important to the defense of the USA. If they try to follow us home (which is not that likely), we can stop them at the border.

And you can have Universal Health Care funded at the state level via sales tax just like Canada's started out anytime you want it.

And we could do away with half ass programs like medicare and medicaid and Chips.

So what's the problem?

"and you can have Universal Health Care funded at the state level via sales tax just like Canada's started out anytime you want it"

but, but, but, but, but the states don't have a printing press
so people would really have to pay for their healthcare
of course people have to pay any way you do it
but liberals like to hide costs and pretend stuffs "free"

come on now, lets turn over our healthcare to these two:

And you know, I really wouldn't mind all that much if the government was spending all those billions on the military, for training and equipment and research to improve their fighting skills in the event they were needed to defend the US against an actual threat against our citizens, or for better pay and benefits for the troops, but the idea of spending a few hundred billion more in Iraq on a war that was totally unnecessary to begin with kinda grates at me.

So what's crazier?  That there are millions of American kids without health-care insurance while half a trillion is blown on Iraqi "freedom" or that these "delusional freaks" see something wrong with that?   What difference does it make how much was spent on non-military purposes if millions of kids' have no coverage and the money that could have protected their health and lots more was spent on Iraqi "freedom?"

Why are American kids made to pay for Iraqi "freedom" with their lives and their health?

Because we've decided that rather than find a responsive and flexible solution to which we would consciously have to contribute, we'd rather wait on government to simply take money from other people and create a bloated, wasteful and inflexible bureaucratic pseudo-solution. Caring is easier when one doesn't actually have to act on it.
Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.
