Romney says Palestinians do not want peace

Of course the "Palestinians" don't want peace
they've had many chances for peace
they want the destruction of Israel
they are not the least bit interested in peace
Look who they elected....look at their actions and words.

Yasser Arafat: "Since we cannot defeat Israel in war we do this in stages.  We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more.  When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel." (Yasser Arafat speaking on Jordanian television, September 13, 1993 the same day the Oslo Peace Accord ceremony was held in Washington D.C.)  He also said, "Peace for us means the destruction of Israel".  We are preparing for an all-out war, a war which will last for generations.

Palestinians don't want peace with Israel now, and they never have.

Earth to "Christians": Arafat is quite dead and no longer dictates anything to anyone.

Anybody have a clear and recent statement of Palestinian aims and desires , from an authority who should know?

I doon't think they want peace , if peace included the status quo.

Earth to XZero: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

The so called "Palestinians" want peace even less today than when Arafat was running the sham show.

You only know what the Zionists tell you, "Christians".

The Palestinians in the West Bank clearly want independence and peace.

....which in their definition of "peace" requires that Israel cease to exist, or at the very least Israel be subordinate to Palestinian rule

Not all Palestinians have the same opinions about a settlement. It was pretty clear that many of the negotiators were in agreement on what Clinton worked out last time, but Arafat refused. I think that Arafat was in fear that he would be killed if he signed a deal. In the last several years, Netanyahu has cause negotiations to cease by grabbing off pieces of East Jerusalem, knowing that the Palestinians would refuse to settle while he was seizing more and more.

That sounds plausable.

How is this diffrent than saying that Palestinians don't want peace?

Should we qualify it a bit and say not enough Palestinians want peace?
