alin Pick Hurting McCain
A new ABC News/Washington Post poll finds that 52% of Americans believe that Sen. John McCain's choice of Gov. Sarah Palin for vice president weakens their confidence in his judgment -- "that's up 13 points since just after the selection, as doubts about Palin's qualifications (also voiced by Powell on Sunday) have grown."

I think Palin is an excellent choice and brings to the table far more executive experience than Obama.

<<I think Palin is an excellent choice and brings to the table far more executive experience than Obama.>>

Your problem is that McCain has already painted Obama as having no useful executive experience, so "far more than Obama" isn't any kind of recommendation at all.  Kinda like saying that somebody is way smarter than a tree stump.

Which doesn't change the fact that she has more executive experience than Obama.

Doesn't change the fact that McCain picked someone without that all-important "experience" which he had been emphasizing was what Obama so sorely lacked.  Without his being able to boast that she's got more than Obama, because he already had derided Obama for a gross lack of it.  "More than the guy with nothing" is NOT any kind of endorsement - - whatever Palin's got for experience, it's clearly minuscule.

The issue isn't Palin, it's McCain.  If experience is as important as he says it is, why'd he pick someone as inexperienced as Palin?  He CAN'T get out of it by saying she's got more than Obama because he's always said Obama was way below par on experience.  If he picked anything less than the best available, OF COURSE Americans will question his judgment.

He picked a governor with executive experience as both a governor and a mayor.

Obama picked an inside the beltway 30 year senator.

Some change.

What's wrong with you? It has just been pointed out that GOVERNOR Palin has far more executive experience than Barry has. Barry has never run a business. He's never commanded military. He's never held an executive position of any kind. How can you keep saying she has no experience?

Are you deaf? Otherwise, stupid is as stupid does.

She was mayor of a teensy town no one ever heard of, then was governor of a state with fewer people than most cities for a year and a half. She never left the country, except maybe when a moose she was hunting strayed across the line into the Yukon.

She has no useful experience. I would imagine being the editor of the Harvard Law Review took more executive experience.

But no matter, I went to early voting today. The line stretched on for three blocks, about 80% Black.

Palin will soon return to the land of the Caribou, the Walrus and the Ptarmigan. McCain will dust off his golf carts, all six of them.

and he was a community organizer of a group no one outside of chicago heard of

then was governor of a state with fewer people than most cities for a year and a half.

Then he was Senator of a state, (for how long again?) with zip executive experience

She has no useful experience.

Neither does he, outside of being a great speaker

I would imagine being the editor of the Harvard Law Review took more executive experience.

You could.  You'd be wrong (lol, but what else is new), but you could

The smaller the town the smaller the staff, which means the mayor handles problems first hand, thus gaining even more experience than a big city mayor.
