I think I can stick a fork in them, they're done. My fantasy of an Angels/Dodgers World Series remains just that. And to think, at the beginning of the season, "on paper" they were the better looking team. Excellent aquisitions, deep starting rotation, veteren hitters in the middle of the line-up, speed at the top, intermixed with some phenomel young talent. If only games were played on paper

Braves fans feel your pain, though a playoff spot for us is not completely out of the picture, just unlikely.

When you folks picked up Texiera, I thought the Braves were a lock. On paper, at least

It all boils down to pitching and they aren't quite there yet.

So true, so true. Good pitching will nearly always stump good hitting. Is Andruw Jones bye bye?

Is Andruw Jones bye bye?
If he had any other agent than Boras i would say no. He didn't help his market value this season.

There's going to be quite a few good CF's out there, this off season. And neither the Dodgers nor the Angels need one. Maybe we can steal Chipper. though ;)

Maybe we can steal Chipper. though Wink
Nah. Chipper will retire a Brave or go to the AL and be a DH in his sunset years.

I always thought Chipper was/is slightly underrated. Despite all the injuries and having to keep switching positions on defense he's been a very consistent hitter. Hopefully he'll end up closer to 2,800+ hits and 450+ HR with a over .300 career average, this way HOF voters will take his case seriously.
