It seems to me that in Miami, Budweiser is the main redneck brew at bars.
Old Milwaukee and  Schaeffer's (known as Red White & Blue) are more often bought in the supermarkets, as they aren;t normally sold in bars.

Schlitz USED to be the main redneck brew, but it is rare or nonexistent, other than as the Blue Bull Malt Liquor, a favorite of Black people here. Schlitz once had a Red Bull, but they seem to have sold that brand to someone making overpriced caffeine in skinny cans with no alcohol whatever.

We don't have Schmidt here. Busch and Miller are fairly common, but less so than those above.

Red Bull Energy Drink is made by an Austrian company. Schlitz Red Bull is still made. Stroh's has the Shlitz Malt Lager line (which includes Red Bull) and is now being run by Pabst.

Strange that someone had not had a lawsuit over two Red Bull drinks. I have not seen Schlitz Red Bull sold anywhere for years. Blue Bull seems pretty rare, too.

What is sold in your local markets are determined by the store manager, and they will usually drop any products that do not sell well. I can only presume that you are shopping in an area where Schlitz Red Bull does not sell well.

I am sure that this is a factor. Cultural enrichment is not the goal of any supermarket.

Beer costs more to stock than other items, because you have to keep it cold.


They sell some truly strange brews in Miami supermarkets: British, Scottish, Japanese, Nicaraguan and Filipino brews. I suppose they are more popular than Red Bull.

Another factor is the profit they make on each one. The weirdest beers available are in the $12.00 a six-pack range. Schlitz is not going to sell for more than half that.
