Clearly, Mississippi is the greatest state of them all!
-
Because a lot of people need to move here , we have a lot of middle class people living in oversize houses.
If you sell a New York house and buy a Georgia house of equivalent value , it tends to be larger.

none breaks even

My brother's house in the San Fran area is worth about $900K.
It would not go for half that in Dallas....not even close.
-
On the other hand, the view of the Bay from Dallas sucks.
-
I like San Fran...it is a beautiful city...great food
(except the Mexican food sucks...compared to Dallas)
seems like there are more homeless in San Fran too
in my opinion the traffic sucks much, much worse in San Fran
I was going into the city on a Sunday and it was a huge traffic jam
I asked my brother "whats up with this Sunday bumper to bumper traffic jam?"
He said "it's pretty much always like this on Sunday"
Dallas weekend traffic is mostly a breeze.
and the people did not seem nearly as friendly as Dallas.
I like the weather in San Fran where you mostly avoid either extreme.
I like to visit San Fran....
I want Crested Butte summers and Dallas winters
trying like hell to make that happen.

when I live in san fran I used to be greatly annoyed with the homeless (still am) but since living in the bay area I appreciate the lack of aggressive pan handling. I forgot san fran has some fairly strong anti-handling laws compared to the rest of the bay area. but I don`t miss the smell of down town.
avoid Market street and you`ll get away with alot of the really bad stuff of that town. since I`m retired now I`m gonna explore this place like a crazy tourist.

I was assigned to Treasure Island for a month, it was great, I learned that the bus takes you everywhere in San Francisco.
-
San Francisco is densely packed on a peninsula, which means there is only one way out except for the bridges. Dallas in on the flats and spread out all over the place.
-
Kimba i did not know you retired.
Congrats.
My brother lives out past Oakland in Orinda & his office is in Walnut Creek.
I still need to buy your dinner when I'm out there sometime.
Tadich Grill or another Bay Area gem.

I know SF , Oakland and Larkspur.
How many towns ring the bay?
Altogether this is a huge community.
