Title: The Anniversary of Crap
Post by: sirs on October 01, 2014, 12:27:06 PM
Obamacare's roll-out.  And you thought they were telling you the truth. (http://i57.tinypic.com/21bnq07.png)

Most of us knew different......and we were right

Actually I am since I'm part of that consistent MAJORITY that never liked or even wanted this piece of crap legislation

Watch and see, it will NEVER ne repealed.

It will require some changes, but it is any national heath insurance at all is better than anything the goddamned Republicans have ever proposed.

Did I say it would be repealed?  The point remains the anniversary of crap legislation, pushed upon us on a pure party line basis, that a majority of the country did NOT support, and STILL doesn't.  The "changes" it requires is referred to as gutting

And we'll never know about any Republican proposals.....BECAUSE, 1 PERSON, REID NEVER ALLOWED ANY TO BE VOTED ON

We know all about Republican proposals, because they printed many of them. They tended to suck.

Pretty much at this point ANYTHING the GOP proposed would have been better than the current crap we all knew we were about to be covered with.  Obamacare is suckage in the highest order.  But nice dodge on how we never even had a chance to let our elected officials vote on any of them.  You do realize of course, than when the GOP takes over the senate and decides not to even allow Dems to vote on anything, you'll not have a critical leg to stand on

The GOP proposed NOTHING for many, many years, and had no pans to do so, ever.
All they have proposed is in response to Obamacare.

I am sure that the goddamn Republicans will manage to fuck up everything they touch, which will prfit the few at the expense of the many if they get a chance.

The GOP proposed idea after idea after idea after idea.  They then passed proposal after proposal after proposal after proposal.  And everyone that passed a vote in the House of Representatives, SAT ON REID'S DESK, never to be allowed to be voted on in the Senate.  If the proposals were "so bad", then the citizen's representatives, in the Senate, should have been allowed to vote it down.  Instead they were silenced, literally disenfranchised.

So instead, Obamination Care was ram-rodded down our throats, with not even a hint of debate, since apparently we needed to pass it to actually see what was in it.  So screw any debate on a 2000+page bill, and screw any actual bipartisan support.  I don't recall our congress, ever being so wreckless with legislation, that could impact so many in this country.

Which is why Dems are now down to only a 1/3 who who actually support it, and so many others are simply retiring, so as not to have to defend their fatal mistake

Yeah, FATAL mistake.

Ot will kill them all.

Their evolving political aspirations.....yep.  The funny thing is that I bet most of them knew how bad a vote it was for them to be taking, but got caught up in the whole "hope & change" cloud, and knew how horribly they'd be treated by their own party if they didn't line-up for the virtual political firing squad.  Now their support and vote, are coming home to roost

Blather all you want, it is NOT going to be repealed.

If indeed it were not at all popular, then it would be a piece of cake to repeal it. The idoiot Republicans have voted again and again to repeal it, with zero results, it just make them ;look like the idiots they are.

As I said, the goal is to get as many folks either working for or beholden to government services......mission accomplished.  It has squat to do with trying to "cover everyone with health insurance".  You have effectively become one of their useful idiots.  Bravo

But cudos on trying to change the subject to repeal.

The Republican Party has voted to repeal Obamacare dozens of times.

That is the debate.

You are the one changing the subject.

Only partially correct....the House voted for repeal, but once again, Reid didn't even allow a vote by the Senate, so no, that's not the debate.  The "debate" was about the anniversary of this crap piece of legislation

-----------------------

Now, if you want to change the subject and make this about repeal, we can, but that's not what this thread was about

SHOULD this peice of garbage be repealed?, absolutely.  Will it?, unlikely thanks to Reid not allowing the Senate to vote on it, allowing enough time for getting enough folks hooked into it, like a heroin addict, that any repeal would sound the hyperbolic cries of how the GOP is trying to take away everyone's healthcare

The GOP, that first tried to DENY any healthcare, is now trying to take it away.

That is the debate. Too bad if you are too fooocking stupid to understand that.

No one denied anyone anything.  You keep getting freedom confused with denied.  The only one that denied the poeple anything was Reid, in preventing not 1 GOP proposal to be voted on, thus denying any choices except for the crap peice of garbage, currently being force-fed us, like spoiled spam, and passed on a pure party line basis

If you want to keep wanting to make this change of subject the debate, fine, but that's NOT what this thread or debate was about, and never was.  That's you trying to argue something else.  I understand why you're trying to make it the focus now....because since its likely not going to be repealed, you think you can proclaim how "right" you are, and how "wrong" anyone else would be......at least not until the GOP is in charge of both the Executive and Legislative branches, and only when they can then pass some legislation that can allow a smooth transition of those stuck in the system, away from it, into those plans that Reid would never allow to be voted on in the 1st place.

And don't even try to raise a stink if its passed without 1 democrat vote.

So yea, it won't be repealed......not right now.  And maybe never, if the Dems can run out the clock and get a majority of the citizenry trapped in its bureaucratic web.  But we've dealt with horrid legislation in the past....slavery comes to mind, and managed to abolish that.  So, I'm optimistic we'll manage to deal with this piece of crap eventually as well

I don't think it would be as disruptive to repeal Obamacare , as it will be to complete its implementation.

My family is healthier this year than last , but the deductible and payments have risen enough that my health care cost has doubled anyway.

What exactly is the improvement supposed to be , and does it represent enough improvement to justify the fuss and expense?

Do you know who will want the Affordable Health Care Act repealed the most?

The politicians most connected to support of this albatross , unless it starts working better.

Those who will want it repealed the most are those whose salaries have been exorbitant and will be frozen or reduced.

And they will be unsuccessful.

You mean Doctors?

Is giving a whole class of important professionals a case of chronic frustration really a good idea?

Surely not all doctors, but most assuredly some doctors. Some are underpaid, others are overpaid.

This article states that the increase in rates for health insurance is not large.

To which I might add "Yet".

My personal experience is that the increase so far is large.

There might be a lot of difference depending on the starting points.
