Regarding the good General's decorations, I think those stop mattering after the 2004 campaign decided that bronze and silver stars, and purple hearts were objects to be dragged through horse fecal matter.

I mean, why respect them now, right?
I smell something burning, hope it's just my brains.
They're only dropping peppermints and daisy-chains
So stuff my nose with garlic
   Coat my eyes with butter
   Fill my ears with silver
   Stick my legs in plaster
   Tell me lies about Vietnam.

True. People like you have never respected them, so don't pretend you do now. We know better.

Real Americans however, do respect them when they are rightfully earned. We all know John Kerry was a fake and a fraud. He's the perfect representative for liberals. I mean really, bringing a camera with you to create fake battles? A rice wound?

Spare me your bleeding heart liberal bullshit.

You have no idea what I respect and don't.

Clearly you only respect right wing veterans. Actually, I doubt you respect them either. You seem to hate most things in life.

Interesting for a Catholic.

Actually JS, I respect ALL veterens, regardless of medals they may have earned.  I disrespect politicans who try to use their prior service as some form of immunity shield to criticism of certain policy positions they have, that I would disagree with.
