Title: what major or career would you suggest
Post by: kimba1 on May 02, 2016, 02:00:18 AM
I would push for trades because I almost hear zip about it and no one has suggested technology is going to replace that field. totally underestimated career. I also think it`s my region it`s so neglected things are falling apart (ex. bay bridge) so the demand will increase

There will always be ancient plumbing and wiring to install, so plumbers and electricians will be in demand. There is no way use robots to replumb a 100 year old house.
Auto electronics is also a field that will be in great and increasing demand.

yes but the bridge is having problems

http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Fears-of-failure-grow-for-rods-on-Bay-Bridge-6588743.php

note this bridge was a redesign after the mayors of the connecting cities thought they needed a prettier bridge which brought the cost way higher and longer delays. to make it even more embarrassing the bridge was inspected earlier due to allegations faulty workmanship.

It`s been my experience when governments put thier feedback is designs things tend to work less effectively. ex san francisco jail when it opened could not lock thier doors. the contractors stated they followed the cities designed changes.

  I chose metrology.

I like laboratory work and everything needs a measuring tool.
