I know exactly what uncle tom stands for.  It's an extremely degrading slur, aimed at a person based on their skin color.........the definition of a racist slur

Sowell & Cain do nothing but defy the Liberal masters who want them to get back onto their plantation, where they belong.  They obey no one, but themselves

If you had actually read "Uncle Tom's Cabin", then you would understand what Uncle Tom stood for. He was a slave who urged obedience to the master. That is what Sowell does. Obey the Oligarchs. That is what Cain does: imitate the master, follow the master's rules, and the master will make you what is called the HNIC. Head N in Charge.

That logic comes from a very mentally disturbed person.

How might this fit Herman Cain?
He is trying to become the President , not White house butler.
He is running contrary to the power "in" power.
Untill recently he was not attractive to big money.
He is calling for changes that won't benefit the class that enjoys tax shelters.

He wants to abolish the inheritance tax, which is the main reason people have charitable foundations. He wants to abolish the capital gains tax and lower the corporate tax to 9%. No one who has a shelter will pay more than they did when they had a tax shelter.

On the other hand, he seems to be planning to abolish the IRA's and the home mortgage deduction.
He is preparing to do the Massah's bidding.

I note that there were no comments on cowardice or bravery after I pointed out that a person could be just as brave for an unworthy cause as for a worthy one.

Hitler was revered because he earned and Iron Cross. Perhaps defending Germany was no more unworthy than defending Russia's Czar or the British Empire.
