The Republicans' Farcical Candidates
A Club of Liars, Demagogues and Ignoramuses

The US Republican race is dominated by ignorance, lies and scandals. The current crop of candidates have shown such a basic lack of knowledge that they make George W. Bush look like Einstein. The Grand Old Party is ruining the entire country's reputation.

Africa is a country. In Libya, the Taliban reigns. Muslims are terrorists; most immigrants are criminal; all Occupy protesters are dirty. And women who feel sexually harassed -- well, they shouldn't make such a big deal about it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the US Republicans. Or rather, to the twisted world of what they call their presidential campaigns. For months now, they've been traipsing around the country with their traveling circus, from one debate to the next, one scandal to another, putting themselves forward for what's still the most powerful job in the world.

As it turns out, there are no limits to how far they will stoop.

It's true that on the road to the White House all sorts of things can happen, and usually do. No campaign can avoid its share of slip-ups, blunders and embarrassments. Yet this time around, it's just not that funny anymore. In fact, it's utterly horrifying.

It's horrifying because these eight so-called, would-be candidates are eagerly ruining not only their own reputations and that of their party, the party of Lincoln lore. Worse: They're ruining the reputation of the United States.

And yet Obama is a Stuttering Clusterfuck of a Miserable Failure and he will lose to whomever the GOP Nominates.

Just wait and see.

How bad can a guy get that he loses to a clown posse.

Obama is a very good speaker and has always been upbeat and professional in his demeanor. And the odds are quite good for him beating both Paul the Libertarian and Mitt or the Newtster the Republican at the same time.

Note that Paul is not running for Congress this term and will not rule out a third party try. He could easily get the Libertarian nomination, all the rest of them are unknowns, many of them goofier less congenial than Paul is.

You could put it this way. If there was ever a time in US history when a clown should be able to beat the sitting President, now is the time. The western economies are in a shambles, including ours. The west is in debt up to their eyeballs, including us. We are still engaged in two wars, at least, and that's subject to change without notice. Unemployment is high. If you include those who have quit looking for work, it's well over 10% at least, probably over 13% or 14%. The President is inherently unable to connect to people. He can't work with either the House or the Senate. The specter of 9/11 is still lurking. We have lost our standing in the world to the point to where in some quarters we are all but irrelevant.

Has there ever been a sitting president elected to another term under conditions approaching these? No way, no how.

`Truman in 1948 might be a good example. `Electing some clown will not solve the problem.

Which is why Obama is going down.
