Do NOT click on the dumb ad that tells you not to eat bananas.
« on: January 06, 2013, 01:46:19 PM »
If you do, you will listen for half an hour or more to some dolt try to sell you some dumb diet supplement, and he will never tell you why you should never eat bananas.

Cut down on a bit of stomach fat by not eating these foods, and it shows a picture of a banana.

Bananas are not particularly fattening. If you eat too many, you get diarrhea, and that will put an end to the fattening process. Bananas have potassium. One a day will not make you fat.

Do not click on all those anti-Obama ads or you will get dozens of stupid e-mail from WND, a phoney "news" organization that makes zero sense.

personalliberty.com leads you to believe that it is holding a plebiscite on secession. It isn't. It only wants your e-mail address.

I don't know.

I told that Google thing that I did  not want my ads "personalized to reflect my interests" after six months of seeing that hateful "Language Teachers Hate This Man" ad for Pimsleur.

Pimsleur is not a bad method, but it will not do what it claims it will do in the short period mentioned. It will help your pronunciation, but will do little for your comprehension, and reading and writing are hardly addressed at all.

Any ad that claims it will tell you how to do anything by following "this weird old tip" is likely to be one of these hideous endless inane infomercials.

Ignore them. unless you are marooned in Antarctica and have read all the books seven times and done all the crosswords.

As far as i know the google ads can be served based on location, so i might not see the ads you are seeing. They are also context sensitive as Kimba showed us with his eyeglass experiment. None of the ads steal your email address, that has to be a proactive move on your part.

I have seen the ads that XO is talking about , and everytime we start talking about Islam I see a couple of Islamic datesites.

I sometimes see ads I know are led to me about rifle accessorys, welding , electronics and boats, and these follow me here.

A coupple of months ago I bought some diatomacious earth and saw the ad for it everywhere I went for the next week.

Do we see the ads for that language course because some of us research sites that flag us for language interest , or does talking about language here do that?

I did not say the STEAL your e mail address. They do, however, invite you to vote in some stupid meaningless poll, like the one about secession, and then require you to give your e-mail in order to vote.

There are many reasons for belly fat, but bananas are at the bottom of the list.

I often look into language methodologies, and discuss languages elsewhere, and that is why I think I am targeted by Pimsleur. It is stupid to tell language instructors that the HATE Pimsleur. They are not likely to get many sales from this annoying campaign. The picture of Prof.Pimsleur looks like he wants to bite someone.

Hopefully you did not vote on the ad poll nor did you give your email address to them.

I appreciate the clicks, it earns the site pennies when you do.

I make up phony names and addresses on rare occasions.

I think, on rare occasions, there is legitamate cause to do this.

Many of these "polls", especially the ones by WND are bogus as polls go, because the question is loaded to appeal to someone who is clearly against or in favor of the particular issue.

Who do you plan to vote for is a valid poll question.

Do you think Obama should be allowed to impose Socialism on America is not.
