I think I`m one of these people(ohh shiney)

but being easily distracted doesn`t mean one`s a bad worker

I`m a single man account and I have a 100% on-time rating
being distracted hasn`t impacted my job at all
which may explained my slow response here sometimes

I agree with you,  as an easily distracted person myself.  If you need to pay lots of attention to many little details, you may need to be "easily distracted" so you don't focus so much  on one thing while behind you, someone's bleeding out or getting robbed or something.

thats right!

I`m also in security, I greatly need to be aware of my surroundings so being focus would be a problem.
I do tend to pickup on things people miss.
strangely it helps me on my xerox job.
I tend to spot details better than most.
ex. two fax items would come by and the job was to place the confirmation to each job
but they look indentical.
my trainee kept looking at every single word to see a difference.
she spent 10 min. on it.
I just look at the signature and matched them.
it`s a pretty blue ink so i noticed it .
being easily distracted does help
