Title: It's not what's reported, it's generally what's NOT reported

...that truely demonstrates the blatant fawning and bias the MSM has with the Obama's.  Watch how deftly ABC edits out what Mrs Obama says:

The "interview" (http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/michelle-obama-interview-2013-gma-lady-disappoint-us-18596599)

For the broadcast, ABC’s Good Morning America producers edited out the First Lady’s “automatic weapon” line.

She was standing out in a park with her friends in a neighborhood blocks away from where my kids grow – grew – up, where our house is. She had just taken a chemistry test. And she was caught in the line of fire because some kids had some automatic weapons they didn’t need. I just don’t want to keep disappointing our kids in this country. I want them to know that we put them first

In the web addition (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/lady-michelle-obama-sees-movement-improving-child-obesity/story?id=18593148&page=2), she's quoted in full, exposing the blatant bias

So you have a right to any wacko opinion you can come up with, but Michelle Obama has no right at all to her own opinion?

And you are always bitching about some double standard.

Bah!

*DEFLECTION ALERT*.....WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??  Who said she couldn't or shouldn't have an opinion??    :o   She can spout whatever nonsense she wants.  The issue is ABC actively, purposely edited out a portion of her claim......WHY would they do that, if not to protect her from an apparent blatant erroneous claim, on her part.

Her opinion has squat to do with this point

Good gravy    ::)

What did she say that was erroneous?

You say erroneous stuff all the time, so what is the big deal? What on Earth are you bitching about?

What did she say that was erroneous?

That some kids had some automatic weapons

You say erroneous stuff all the time,

Like what??  Examples please if they're happening "all the time"

so what is the big deal?

I'm not in national Television, having my errors edited out

What on Earth are you bitching about?

the MSM's current love affair with the Obama's

So how is it you are an expert on automatic weapons in Chicago? How do you know it is erroneous?

So how is it you are an expert on automatic weapons in Chicago?

A) one does not have to be an "expert" in automatic weapons to reference, or discuss them
B) one does not have to be located in or a resident of Chicago to discuss, anything that happened to have occured in Chicago

How do you know it is erroneous?

AP said so (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=171745885)

...Police said a man hopped a fence, ran toward them and opened fire with a handgun before fleeing in a waiting car....

The larger issue is what is the watchdog press doing editing quotes from FLOTUS? Is their job not to report what she said as she said it? Way too much of this going on.

This could be a good thing.

Cleaning up unfortunate quotes so that the president, first lady and veep sound smarter than they are.

Could fill the citizenry with confidence.

This is all Bush ever needed.
Heck we could be speaking of President Quayle, if he had of had a little help like this.

BINGO....be it NBC editing Romney's comments at the Wawa, or Zimmerman's comments when asked about the race of the person he saw, this is precisely what "propagandists" do.  Instead of report, they paint

And of course, that made exactly no sense at all, especially as it relates to the point of the topic

So now, ABC's explanation for the edit is that it was merely a "time saving" matter.  Do they really think the populace is that stupid?     oy

I don't think that the majority the population even CARES what dangerous weapons were used way back then . I know that I can say that I sincerely do not give a damn. Nor do I see any reason why anyone would.

Other than, for example, the obsessed.

And that whole rant has to do with.....what exactly?  Certainly not what's being discussed or the point of this thread, much less obsessed about it.

What it seems to be about is your obsession about how the media disagrees with you, or you disagree with it.
Again. why should I (or anyone) care?

Because any rationally minded person would care that it's not the media's job to edit out errors in a political figure's statements, or to edit out statements that paint a politician in a more negative vs neutral light.  It's their job simply to report, and as Bt has alluded to, this has been going on FAR TOO much
