SEN. JAY ROCKEFELLER (D-WV): "There's a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to FOX and to MSNBC: 'Out. Off. End. Goodbye.' It would be a big favor to political discourse; our ability to do our work here in Congress, and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and more importantly, in their future."

For what it's worth  the FCC doesn't have any control over FOX News or MSNBC or any other non over the air broadcast networks.

Rockefeller should know this being a Senator for all those years.

My conclusion is the majority of Congress doesn't know much, certainly not much about our US Constitution, and our rights, they know little about the law, and don't really care much about the rule of law either. That would include Obama too.
