France (and some other countries as well) have a more free press than we do in the US

I am glad you made me look , I didn't realize that the National Lampoon had stopped publishing in '98.

A lot of crude stuff gets published but most of the publishers choose a side and are not equal opportunity much.

This article is food for thought even if I think its premise is a bit off.

The best way to avoid hypocrisy is to allow others more than you allow yourself, but this is not human nature , not much.

We are all Charlie.

This magazine sold for €2.00, which is around $2.50. Normally, they sold 60,000 copies. This issue started out with 1,000,000 copies, but I hear they are raising it to 5,000,000.

That rather awful film about killing Kim Jong Un also was a lot more popular than it would have been had the North Koreans done nothing.

There is a lesson for the intolerant in this somewhere.
