You're The Guns of August!

by Barbara Tuchman
Though you're interested in war, what you really want to know is what
causes war. You're out to expose imperialism, militarism, and nationalism for what they
really are. Nevertheless, you're always living in the past and have a hard time dealing
with what's going on today. You're also far more focused on Europe than anywhere else in
the world. A fitting motto for you might be; Guns do kill, but so can
diplomats.

I've never read it
.
I smell something burning, hope it's just my brains.
They're only dropping peppermints and daisy-chains
So stuff my nose with garlic
   Coat my eyes with butter
   Fill my ears with silver
   Stick my legs in plaster
   Tell me lies about Vietnam.

You're I, Robot!
by Isaac Asimov
While you have established a code of conduct for many generations to follow, your demeanor is rather cold and calculating. Brought up to serve humans, you have promised never to harm them, to follow orders, and to protect yourself. Living up to this code has proved challenging and sometimes even drives you mad. If you were a type of paper, you would be pulp.

Do not anticipate trouble, or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight. (Benjamin Franklin)

Many of these paragraphs surprisingly seemed in the ball park.

In each one, one or two sentences were not kind, though.

Maybe that is why you cawkadoodledooed and omitted the paragraph.

Where was it listed that the paragraph connected to the book was mandated to be presented as well?  I must have missed the memo.  Were you waiting with baited anticipation Crane?  I'm flattered     8)

Now that is a book I liked.

Yeah, me too. Too few sci-fi mysteries, in my opinion.

For those who have not read the book - it's nothing like the movie.

This is the paragraph that goes with Dune:

Quote
You have control over a great wealth of resources, but no one wants to let you have them. You've decided to try to defend yourself, but it may take eons before you really get back what you feel you deserve. Meanwhile you have a cult-like following of minions waiting for your life to progress. This would all be even more exciting if you could just get the sand out of your eyes.
