Biden to Obama: "A big [expletive] deal"

After introducing Obama at Tuesday's health-care bill signing ceremony,
Vice President Biden turned to the president and said, "This is a big [expletive] deal."

Shortly after the event, press secretary Robert Gibbs said on Twitter,
"Powerful moment when the President described the people he was
signing this for and for the millions back in control of their health care ...
And yes Mr. Vice President, you're right."

It wasn't the first time Biden was caught cursing on an open mic.

This can't have really happened.

MT the sound engineer has assured me that microphones are not really good at picking up words unless they are directed at the mike.

That's what kimba told you in another thread, and it's true.  But the key might have been in the speaker's belief as to whether or not the mike was live.
