When I was in the Navy I lived in Charleston SC , the harbor was almost constantly being dredged , every now and then one of the dredges would set off a shell that had lain in the mud since the Civil war and would be damaged.

All around the world the debris of modern warfare are resting in wait from the Thames to the Mecong this is going to happen now and then.
