Dean didn't BORROW $6 million dollars.  It wasn't like they had the money and he just said "nah".  Staying wise fiscally is part of the 50 State Strategy.

I don't see how wise it was to leave 20 House seats on the table. This 6th year of the incumbent's party was the best environment the Dems have had in a while to pick up seats, and Dean didn't maximize the opportunity. He sat on the money. He half-assed it. Rahm Emanual, Serpent Head, and other DLCers told Dean to put up the extra money for these 20 close races, and the Republicans just won in those districts by a point. Dean missed the opportunity.

Back here in reality, we all read a story that showed how there were only four, at most six seats that maybe could have been taken with DNC money.

And we still see how insanely you hate Dean.  Why do you hate him so much and love Carville so much?

2006 was the appetizer.

2008 is the main course.

The long knives are drawn. The insiders are not real happy with the outsiders and they will rumble til it is done.

It isn't about idealogy, it is all about power. The power to take, the power to give.

Back here in reality, we all read a story that showed how there were only four, at most six seats that maybe could have been taken with DNC money.

There were as many as 20 seats in play. Dean flubbed it.

The NY Times reported:
Quote
Mr. Greenberg said that Republicans held 14 seats by a single percentage point and that a small investment by Mr. Dean could have put Democrats into a commanding position for the rest of the decade.

“There was a missed opportunity here,” he said. “I’ve sat down with Republican pollsters to discuss this race: They believe we left 10 to 20 seats on the table.”

And we still see how insanely you hate Dean. Why do you hate him so much and love Carville so much?

I don't particularly care for either one of them. Why do you make excuses for Dean, when even you admit that he gave up on 6 seats he could have won? When the Dems picked up 5 seats in 1998, this was considered a big win. It's a big deal to pick up a House seat. Dean let slip the best opportunity for Dems to pick up seats since 1974.

I'm still confounded why it matters to you that Dean didn't win more seats.

Can you shed more light on that?  What's your motive for this post?

Why aren't you knocking Emanuel and Schumer for their ineptitude.  Dean went out and got more governorships and state legislatures.  E and S IGNORED seats that Dean helped pick up.  In the end, it was a win for everyone except YOU and YOUR PARTY.

Why not keep posting about Kerry's "botched joke" and prove your irrelevance?
