We need to thank the vets for their service, and apologize for sending them off to useless wars, like Vietnam and Iraq.

You're claiming that the government is taking care of vets with the greatest aplomb and that all things veteran-related are somehow magically perfect while the bureaucracy of a socialized medicine system for the general public would be the greatest tragedy ever to befall our nation.


On Memorial Day weekend of 2004, the cardiac surgical team from George Washington University Hospital headed by  Dick Cheneys cardiologist, performed a single heart bypass on me at the Washington DC VA Hospital.

 I was hospitalized for 3 days before I was sent home.

Hopefully the VA health system will be one of the models for Obamas universal health care plan.
