wow. these democrats are getting nasty, nasty, nasty

Hillary big donors have written a threatening letter to Nancy Pelosi, the House Speaker, criticising her view that super-delegates should not seek to overturn the will of voters.

Sources said Pelosi was infuriated by the implied threat the donors would quit giving cash to the committee.

Bill Clinton hinted at more bruising weeks to come, saying: "If a football player doesn't want to get tackled ... he shouldn't put the pads on." Mr Obama responded by saying: "There is a line that can be crossed, when you stop focusing on the American people's business and it becomes just sport, it becomes all about winning."

This prompted a withering attack by Mrs Clinton's spokesman, Phil Singer, who said: "Considering that Senator Obama and his campaign are advancing a character assassination effort against Hillary, [his] musings on the politics of personal destruction are the height of hypocrisy."

James Carville, an outspoken Hillary partisan, likened Bill Richardson to Judas for endorsing Obama.

Hillary Clinton on the controversial Rev Wright: "He would not have been my pastor." "You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend."

Obama's troops fired back. "It's disappointing to see Hillary Clinton's campaign sink to this low in a transparent effort to distract attention away from the story she made up about dodging sniper fire in Bosnia," said Obama spokesman Bill Burton.

Clinton adviser says Obama's economic address is "just words".

Hillary spokesmen reminded us that in Obama's speech last year at Selma, Alabama, Barack Obama had claimed that his parents had got married and that he had been born as a result of the great Selma to Montgomery civil rights march: "There was something stirring across the country because of what happened at Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together, and Barack Obama Jnr was born. So don't tell me that I don't have a claim on Selma, Alabama." The problem with this, as Mrs Clinton's spin doctors gleefully point out, is that the Selma marches occurred in 1965. Barack Obama Jr. was born in 1961.

The Clinton team has also put together a list of the donations Obama has gotten from "the top 10 issuers of subprime loans."

Obama's team went after Hillary Clinton for lying at least four times when she claimed that she landed "under sniper fire" while on a goodwill trip to Tuzla, Bosnia, in 1996 to greet U.S. troops - though photos show a peaceful meet-and-greet where a child read her a poem.

Camp Clinton returned fire in a press release accusing Barack Obama of embellishing his experience, including his claim to have been a law professor when he was really a law lecturer, and took credit for legislation that never became law.

A Gallup poll released yesterday indicated that 28 percent of Democrats supporting Clinton said they would vote for McCain over Obama in November, while 19 percent of Obama's backers said they would vote for McCain over Clinton.

and this is just the most recent stuff

and on and on and on and on and on it goes
