   I was trying to tough it out, my boss gave me a good advice and strong encouragement to go to dr.

your supposed to go anyway

pneumonia is one of top illnesses.

after doctor stay home take meds as recommended. stay hydrated alternated with Gatorade drinks so you don`t screwup your  electrolytes. eat what you can

That is what I am doing , but that Gatorade looks like a good suggestion.

The Dr will see me again Monday, if I am improved enough return to work Tuesday.

It might be possible for the USAF to run without much interruption.

That's exactly what my late brother would always do...
I would encourage him to "go to the doctor"
"ahhhh....I'll be alright"
twice it progressed into pneumonia  :-\

tough it out is a macho manthing us guys are required to do. called man up. if I were to do that I would of slept off that back pain I had three years ago and died of kidney failure.

My doctor told me to get a pneumonia vaccination, so I did.
Anything that bugs me for more than 3 ays, and I go to the doctor. I have not been criticised for this yet.  Get well, soon.

  My boss was not only concerned for me, he was also wanting the rest of the crew to remain uninfected.

   I suppose that if we just stayed away from each other more these pathogens might have a harder time infesting us.

I've seen it action. One of my old job had a zero sickday incentive program and for some reason we had alot of people sick at work when flu season comes.
