Cameras are a far better deterrent than some nut with sirs packing heat.

Yea, next time will try to ask the likes of James Holmes or George Hennard or Michael McClendon or Jared Loughner if they would have been stopped by a camera.  Come to think of it, I think there were many cameras at the Giffords shooting.

Sorry to throw that cold water on you and Bsb again but Fact is that more lives are saved by the use, or mere brandishing of a gun, then killed by a gun, in this country...FACT.  Not sirs opinion or wishful thinking, but provided for by way of FBI Crime statistics.  Its just as much a fact as Obama is the Democrat Presidential nominee for 2012

Go forth, brave sirs and brandish your piece and prevent crime.

Naaa...just going to defend myself, if the need ever arises.  But if I do happen to stumble across some Loughner want-to-be, and there's obviously no police around.....aim center mass...keep shooting until the threat is no longer

If threatened with violence it might help to point the cameras out to the threat, supposing that the cameras themselves are safe from the violence, and the threat is not masked.

If threatened with violence it might help to brandish a gun , supposing that the situation allows the threat to surrender , retreat or loose the fight.

Why not both?

Having cameras present , evident and secure can dissuade a lot of crimes , guns too, this isn't complementary?

Why not take along a bazooka as well?

Perhaps a nice suicide vest would add sincerity to your demands for order and obedience.

Yes , the choice of wepon should take the situation into account.

A bazooka would be too much to carry unless the likly targets were pretty tough.

Hard to conceal, not to mention ILLEGAL

If folks like you and Bsb had their way, people would need a nice bullet proof vest.  Maybe matching ones for family outings
