It is sure as Hell stupid.  The anti-woman party thinks that women should be denied the rights top their own bodies. It's as simple as that.

Not so simple actually.  What would have made it simple is no abortion after x# of weeks, except in the case of rape or incest.  Simple bill, simple wording, simple up/down vote.  Better protects both the innocent unborn child, and facilitates greater responsibility from the woman

So if at 21 weeks, a scan confirms that the baby will be born with half a brain por perhaps no brain at all, or some other horrible defect, the woman or the couple cannot decide to abort, because the a bunch of clowns in Congress think they know better?

That is why this is a very, very stupid law. They should roll it up and cram it.

ahhh, now its a "baby", not a "fetus"?  Boy, you really need to develop some consistency in your proclamations

I said the baby will be born. If it is born it is a baby. If it is not born, it still is a fetus.

Why should the government tell parents they must have a brainless child to raise?

No, you said Baby, as in before its born.  You didn't refer to a fetus with no brain (as rare as that is.....leave it to the professor to try and paint one of the rareist of conditions, being born with no brain, as a reason to justify the murder of 99.9% of the rest of the unborn children     :o )

The anti-baby party thinks that a baby should be denied the right to life. It's as simple as that.

I am not impressed. You will never convince me that a bunch of Republicans have the right to tell a woman that she has no right to choose her own destiny. It would be the same thing that you would feel if Democrats wanted to castrate you.

Democrats want to castrate us?

There is a good reason to vote against them right there.

Pretty effective for ZPG though, no nonsense .

Trying to twist the point into one that never existed doesn't refute that nonexistant point.  Republicans don't want or desire a right to tell a woman to do anything.  They want a right for an unborn child to have the opportunity to simply exist.  At least after x# of weeks

Actually they wimped out very seriously.

On the anniversary of Roe Vs Wade their big plans got reduced .

The original proposal was for a national limit on abortion based on gestational age.

What finally passed was a limit on federal funding for abortion, no issue at all unless the president chooses to make it an issue.

There is no point in being this kind of timid.
