82nd Airborne is being deployed there.
Good....hopefully Marines too. This looks really bad.
Until I did some reading today I was unaware the Dominican Republic is on the same island.
The Dominican Republic although poor is not nearly the economic disaster Haiti has been for decades.
Too bad the US can't just takeover Haiti but not make them a state....kind of like a territory but
it would not allow them to immigrate to the states like statehood would.....being an island we
could do a naval blockade that wouldn't allow much of the non-sense to go on that has happened
in Iraq via Iran.....start building factories down there...ect......in 20 years Haiti would look much
better.
