Funny...and so damn right on, I must say.
Obama is a bit "TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE". Who doesn't love a newbie?
Clinton is a lone dove who unfortunately seems to have the craving for blood and power at any cost. Sad, because if she hadn't been so damn stupid in the end, perhaps she could have represented many of us.
There's always another woman out there. Frankly, I hold hope for better, anyway.
but---------------------
I am worried.
There are slim choices in this election.
Will this election finally enlighten the average American to a realization that the job of president isn't all it's cracked up to be? There has to be more to the "job" right?
But, in the end....another attack on our soil will speak volumes and possibly be the ultimate deciding factor as to who was the "right" candidate. Sad, but true. Who is ready to step up to THAT plate?
If Obama had been president in 1960, could he have had a better chance of making more significant changes in our society than Kennedy?
Perhaps Obama would not have had to deal with a bias against anything and everything black or muslim. Perhaps. But, then again we are talking about the 1960's. He could have been the icing on the cake in the civil rights era. He could have been the gentle youth and intelligent soul to lead us back then. Bad timing? who knows...hindsight......a perfect 20?
Kennedy, if elected today could have brought a strength as warrior .....a strong sense of the fight......a sort of power to a table that has been covered in war for over a decade now, albeit an oil based struggle.
The issue at hand in this election and in this outrageous millenium is terrorism. Period.
Obama will bring a fresh face and a love for those less fortunate in this country. He will make changes in old government. But, in the end.....if we see even one attack on our precious soil, will any of that matter?
