The Convention will go as planned but Kramer predicts that Gustav will cause Bush to not be able to attend. Now this is really good news for McCain. Of course Bush could attend the convention but this is a great excuse for him not to be there. Erase any images of Bush & McCain together wipes out the Obama Bush third term talking points.

Palin’s hubby and son not Republicans

Democrats may be blasting Sarah Palin as a doctrinaire conservative, and Republicans may be embracing her for the same reason, but her husband and oldest son are independents.

Or, more precisely, their party affiliation is listed as “undeclared” on voter registration records retrieved from the Alaska Division of Elections.

Todd Palin, husband of the Alaska governor, hasn’t been affiliated with a party since he first registered to vote while he was in his early 20s, in 1989 — the year after he married Sarah Palin. And Track Palin, their 19-year-old son, registered as undeclared when he became eligible to vote last year.

Todd Palin, a regular voter, could have cast his ballot for his wife in her 2006 Republican primary against incumbent Gov. Frank Murkowski because the Alaska Republican Party allows those registered undeclared and “nonpartisan” to vote in the party’s primaries.

Track Palin has yet to vote, according to the Division of Elections, while Bristol Palin, his 17-year-old sister, is not yet eligible to vote.

Obama Committed political Suicide by not selecting Hillary. He just gave McCain the election because McCain listened to women voters.

The only thing that could have made this a better choice for McCain is if Palin were BLACK.

Just as I predicted about 4 weeks ago Sarah Palin is McCain's VP choice.

McCain is not Bush III

Obama is Carter II

McCain makes a bold move outside the box. An INDEPENDENT thinker, he is listening to WOMEN VOTERS.

OBAMA COULD HAVE PICKED A WOMEN.

McCAIN IS A MAVERICK...

Obama campaign confronts WGN radio

DENVER -- Sen. Barack Obama's campaign organized its supporters Wednesday night to confront Tribune-owned WGN-AM in Chicago for having a critic of the Illinois Democrat on its air.

"WGN radio is giving right-wing hatchet man Stanley Kurtz a forum to air his baseless, fear-mongering terrorist smears," Obama's campaign wrote in an e-mail to supporters. "He's currently scheduled to spend a solid two-hour block from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. pushing lies, distortions, and manipulations about Barack and University of Illinois professor William Ayers."

Kurtz, a conservative writer, recently wrote an article for the National Review that looked at Obama's ties to Ayers, a former 1960s radical who later emerged as a school reform advocate in Chicago.

The magazine had been blocked in its initial attempts to obtain records from the University of Illinois at Chicago regarding a school reform initiative called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which Obama chaired and Ayers co-founded.

Obama critics were quick to suggest that political clout could be involved in seeking to protect Obama from embarrassment. The school later reserved its position and made the records available Tuesday.

On Wednesday evening, Obama's campaign urged supporters to call the radio station to complain.

"Tell WGN that by providing Kurtz with airtime, they are legitimizing baseless attacks from a smear-merchant and lowering the standards of political discourse," the note said.

"It is absolutely unacceptable that WGN would give a slimy character assassin like Kurtz time for his divisive, destructive ranting on our public airwaves," the note continued. "At the very least, they should offer sane, honest rebuttal to every one of Kurtz's lies."

Zack Christenson, executive producer of "Extension 720 with Milt Rosenburg," said the response was strong.

"I would say this is the biggest response we've ever got from a campaign or a candidate," he said. "This is really unprecedented with the show, the way that people are flooding the calls and our email boxes."

Christenson said the Obama campaign was asked to have someone appear on the show and declined the request.

"He got into the files just yesterday, so we wanted to have him on to find out what he found. And, if at all possible, we wanted to get the Obama campaign, to get their side of the story," Christenson said. "That's why the uproar is kind of amazing, because we wanted the Obama campaign's take as well."

The show's producer said the calls dropped off after the show's first hour. He did not have a count of calls, but said it was "non-stop."

Obama's campaign has launched similar offensives against stations that have run campaign ads that it did not like.

3DHS / VP Hype - Who Falls For Such Showmanship?
« on: August 28, 2008, 11:48:39 AM »
Notice McCain isn't hyping his VP selection.

McCain is a real guy not a phony. Obama hyping his VP choice, speeches in a stadium surrounded by roman pillars, I mean really what a phony, fake, plastic person this guy Barrack Hussein Obama is. Americans see through this showmanship, this act, this smoke & mirror show. Folks, America is tuned in and we aren't going to be fooled by a guy with a thin resume that got where he is because of affirmative action and discrimination. We can see that McCain isn't getting AFFIRMATIVE ACTION from the press.

On the other hand McCain has qualifications to be our president. He isn't a fake phony sort of a guy but a real person. John is the adult here the man running against a boy and his entourage of white guilt laden mentally ill American hating Marxists.

And after all that HYPE Obama reveals Joe Biden - - - no wonder he got a 1 point bounce in the polls!
